  1. bkk-hkg return is appr. £600 on EK first class....nothing to brag about...
  2. rent for a year or two.....see if u like it/can afford it.....Coming for holiday is not the same as living there....Just my 5 cents...
  3. Thai Airways does it again... TG910/911 will again be on a 747-400 (744) from 29 March until 30 April. From 1 May it is back to the 346 (for now...)
  4. Most likely booked into a nonrefundable bookingclass and no changes allowed after it has been bought. Typical the cheapest ticket.
  5. Maybe I did not make myself clear. What i tried to say was that Thai's 747 do not have personal AVOD in economy. In business class and first class they do have. On their A340-600 all classes have AVOD. Of course it is up to the airlines to decide if they want AVOD or not... Thai has firstclass in the nose of their 747 and business class on the upper deck as well as behind the first class section. The 747 used on the London route has F10 C40 Y325. The 340-600 has F8 C60 Y199, so all in all 20 more seats in business class compared to the 747. And yes...seat configurations are also d
  6. No, not same. That NYC route was operated by an A 340-500. The LHR-BKK will be operated by an A 340-600. No Premium Eco available on the -600, but more business class seats compared to the 747. (And has AVOD in Economy) Non
  7. No.. Or to put it another way. If the travel insurance will cover all taxes and surcharges it will also cover the entire fare u paid. Some airlines will however refund all taxes and surcharges including YQ (Fuel surcharges). KLM, I dont have any experience with.
  8. Seems like you got it right CheshireTom! TG has updated its long-haul schedule for Summer 2009. TG 910/911 will be on a A340-600. But as always with Thai, they can always make last-minute changes....
  9. I wish you were right, but I doubt so. According to expertflyer.com TG 910/911 will operate an A340-600 until 28/03/2009. From 29th onwards it is back to the good, old 747-400. Anyway, recently Thai Airways has changed equipment more often than most of us change ladies in Pattis....so who knows?? Can always hope...
  10. They have changed their mind again. It was supposed to be 1-stop via KIX from 29MAR09. http://www.thaiairwaysusa.com/EN/News/News...tion.aspx?Id=34 THAI AIRWAYS now offers continued Non-Stop service between Los Angeles (LAX) and Bangkok (BKK) and beyond 4 days per week, flying TUE/THU/FRI/SUN. TG795 / TG794 operates using A340-500 aircraft configured for 60 seats in Royal SIlk Business Class, 42 seats in Premium Economy Class, and 113 seats in Economy Class on the following schedule: FLT NBR.........A/C......OPERATING.DAYS..............DEPART....
  11. From my place: Connecting to a server in BKK and the speed is 10 times as slow, but still ok:
