New Year in Patts is fantastic if you can get to a high vantage point to watch the fireworks, I did from the roof of the condo block I was staying in one year, took up a cooler of drinks about an hour before and watched it all over the bay. After that we partied all night.

I was out with my lady in Big C and I happened to mention how funny it was to see Thais who are Buddhist out buy Christmas decorations etc, she said they are buying them for cowdow (new year), so I asked her why are they buying Christmas trees then if it's only for new year? Silence Silence Silence then......sometime falang very stupid (and stormed off in a huff to look at jeans). :angry2

Serious Question mate, how big do they get?

I picked up a Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 16gb from TukCom at 18900bt last week, absolutely love it. I demo'd it to my mate mangosteen last night and he was impressed so it ticks all the boxes for me. Don't bother with one of those chinky knock-offs, I had one and it was clunky, got hot and with the wifi switched on it only had about 1 hour battery life. It could take a micro sd card though which was a bonus. I wiped the OS and reloaded it with a better version which got rid of all the chinese apps that were pre-installed.
