Don't worry. True, some bars do not open up until 4.00pm or even later but others are open earlier. You can sit in a bar 24/7 if you want to.

safety boxes, including some large enough for a laptop, are available free of charge but are located in the lobby. Its staffed 24/7. There is nothing in the rooms.

Pattaya to Korat/Nakhon Ratchasima
grs90 replied to grs90's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Thanks for the responses. It looks like the best option will be a car direct from Pattaya. There will be 2 people travelling so I think the extra baht will be worth it to avoid a six hour bus journey. cheers -
On my next visit to Pattaya I'm thinking of taking a couple of days out to visit Korat. Looking at the map it seems to be about 300km from Pattaya, via road no's 331 and 304 . Does anybody know if there are direct (air-con VIP) buses to there and what the times and prices are, or will I need to go back to Bangkok and get the bus from there? I've tried to find a web site with Thai bus routes and timetable but had no success so far so if anyone knows of such site I'd be grateful if you could post a link. Alternatively, what would be the cost of hiring a car and driver for the Korat

Hi Doug I've just checked Opodo again and the flights I mentioned above are still there at the price stated. I think the problem is that they make it a bit tricky for people to find their better deals. If you just use their standard flight search you get the prices listed in your posting. But if you click on the special offers tab from the Opode homepage, then select BKK as the destination and finair as the airline, the prices I said will come up. cheers
-
If you check on Opodo the finnair deal is £371 from LHR to BKK via Helsinki. From Manchester its £373. I'm intending to come out on Friday 28/11 and return on Monday 8/12 and they have availability at those prices then. What a fucking then pity that I've already booked with BA, and paid £470 for non-refunable , non-changeable tickets. Bollocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sandy Spring female guest policy
grs90 replied to Cumcannon's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
continuing from before............(god knows how that part posting happened).. anyway, I emailed the hotel as follows: Dear Nuansri > >I am mailing to check your guest policy.. > >I have spoken with a friend who told me that his girlfriend was not able to >use the hotel pool during his stay recently. I do not want this to happen >during my visit so thought I would ask before I check in. I have a >girlfiend in Pattaya who I will meet up with while I am there and I will >expect to bring her back to the hotel. If she will not be able to stay or >use the -
Sandy Spring female guest policy
grs90 replied to Cumcannon's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
To make a reservation at the Sandy Spring contact them by email at info@sandyspringhotel.com Before I stayed there in June this year I had also heard the rumours about the girls needing to sign a form. So I emailed the hotel: -
Pieman I was at the Sanday Spring until 14/9, the building work next to the Dynasty had already started but was not a problem. There is another block between the building lot and the Sandy which muffled the noise nicely. It was faintly noticeable at worst, certainly gave me no problems and most days I didn't surface until around 2.00pm. It is not enough to wake you up. One very strange thing about the Sandy Spring is that they try to charge you for your full stay in advance. This has happened to me on three visits despite being a member. Don't pass over your credit card and exp

If you want to play the tourist then KL and the surrounding area can keep you occupied for a few days of sightseeing. But the nightlife, in my opinion anway, is crap. You're mainly limited to hotel health clubs. So, get thee to Pattaya young man, get thee to Pattaya.....

Sandy Spring - Good or Bad??
grs90 replied to redmessage's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
look at the topic "Stupid Newbie question .... ", Sandy Spring info is here -
Hi Lads I'm booked in to the Sandy Spring for later this week so will post a report after I've tried them out for a few days, and post some pics toward the end of the month after I get back home. I've just queried their policy about the Pool and told them I wouldn't come there if the TG couldn't use it. I got a mail back saying no problem - "she can swim with you too". Obviously had ideas above their station and shit themselves when the bookings fell off.!!

What date is that then, 12th or 14th?
