  1. I strongly recommend all frequent travellers stuck in economy class to get a Priority Pass card. This card allows you to enter lounges in all major airports around the world. I have been a member for a few years and I only have positive comments about the program. This card may be handy even if you have a gold card with lounge access in one of the major alliances (especially if you fly a lot on different carriers/alliances). PM me or see prioritypass.com for more information.
  2. Bear194, I used Air France last summer from Paris to Lagos, Nigeria(only time I have used them) I found the product rather bad, but it might have been the routing. I know a few fight attendants in different European airlines and they tell me that they really hate flying in and out of Nigeria (probably explains the bad service). Believe it or not guys, but Lagos' airport code is LOS (not exactly Land of Smiles) Lagos should be described as Land of Shit You should be ok flying them to Bangkok
  3. I flew LHR-BKK this summer on BA, and QF return. I found British Airways to be better, but I would like to add that I have only flown them once and might have been just bad luck. I prefer flying SK,TG or SQ to Bangkok.
  4. I used Air Asia in June between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. The plane left on time from KUL and arrived in our favourite city BKK ahead of schedule. Ok service and I would definitely use them again because of the low prices they are offering.
  5. Hi Tazzydevil, I definitely agree with you. I flew Qantas LHR-BKK-LHR earlier this year and I must say that their product does not live up to the standard of the Asian airlines. Even though Thai does not provide PTV on most of their fleet, the service and legroom makes up for the lack of entertainment. And those cute flight attendants....
  6. I found this to be a pretty good offer and booked myself a ticket yesterday. Normally you only find these prices on Aeroflot out of Norway. Besides, British Airways is a pretty good airline.
  7. Hi guys! I have the choice of flying Thai, Dragonair, Cathay Pacific or Air China from Beijing to Bangkok. Under normal circumstances I'd fly Thai, but I've heard that their business class is outdated. What do you guys say?
  8. Hi Wiggly! I flew SU from Oslo via Moscow to Tokyo Narita once and I was not really impressed with their service. The plane from Oslo to Moscow was an old Russian plane, however they used boeing 767 from SVO to Narita. I also know that they will be operating the 767 and even the 777 (on some flights) to Hong Kong and Tokyo in December this year, but unfortunately the Russian IL9 to BKK. As the other members said; bring your own booze and entertainment and you'll be just fine. And you're probably saving a lot of money flying them. Have a nice trip! Sindre
  9. Hi guys! I'm going to Thailand again in May and I have two pretty good offers from Thai and Finnair. I've never been flying with any of these two airlines before. Do you have any good or bad experiences with these airlines?
  10. hi Daveman! I'm from Norway so I have used Scandinavian Airlines quite a bit. I've had both positive and negative experiences with this airline. I prefer to fly BRITISH AIRWAYS even though I have to fly via Heathrow. British Airways is definitely my favourite airline. Much better service and they fly to many more cities worldwide.
  11. Hey! I'm getting really tired of flying economy on long haul flights. The only problem is that business class tickets are so damn expensive. Do you guys have any tips for finding discounted business class fares?
  12. Hi guys! Have any of you stayed at the Jomtien Boathouse? I'm considering renting a room there for a couple of days in February.
