Thanks for the reply Jacko. Turns out the problem was at my end, the site was being blocked by the internet security at the place i am working.

Buy Or Rent A House On The Darkside
Jetlag replied to som nam na's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I think schooling for your son should be a factor in deciding where you want to set up home. Once you have found a suitable school for your son, try and find a place within say 10kms from the school that way his journey every day to and from school will not be too bad. And as someone else mentioned, rent before you buy, to satisfy yourself 100% that you have found a nice spot before you part with your hard earned cash. -
Just driven back to our house from Pattaya, we live in NaJomtien which is about 15kms. Pleanty of rain falling but it is not that really heavy tropical stuff that causes the flashfloods so hopfully there will not be the flooding that occured a few weeks ago. I think the only person i saw happy with the rain was the guy on 2nd road selling kids umbrellas, the small ones with cartoon characters on them . He was knocking them out for 150 baht each and looked like he was doing a good trade.

I am a two wallet man, a day one with cards licence etc, and a night one with enough cash for the evening and a photocopy of my passport picture page incase ID is needed at some point. And like someone else mentioned, i carry it in my front pocket. Feels more secure that way.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, will definatly check these places out.

Thanks for the reply Joekicker. I did not make it clear in my original post but i was actually wondering about internet banking. It seems that i can transfer to Thai accounts easy enough but there are some hoops to jump through if i want to send money overseas via i-banking.
