Owen, I consider anything that comes from the Internal Revenue Service a rule that has yet to be changed, not a law. What they have not been told would fill more books than the ridcoulous, unfair, and subjective U.S tax code. I need some advice on banking outside my home country - the U.S. I plan to live and work in Asia for the next twenty years. I will probably move around a bit, so the question is not directed at a specific country.I would prefer to open an account/s outside the U.S. My income is not taxable, as it will be below the the limits. However, I will always file a return as required, so the IRS may suspect I have an account offshore. I am flying to Thailand around the first of July. Work will be paying for the one way ticket. I usually fly NW (Not to Thailand), but they are asking 1900. I want the miles, so it is Delta of Korean. Having never flown either, could anybody give me an idea about which would be better in economy. Does either have in-seat TV's? Reclining seats? It's not that hard to beat NW, as they have neither. I need to ship a package, about five pounds, from Pattaya next week. Has anyone used one of these "overnites" to ship from Thailand to the States?
