I come across plenty without phones. I agree with you though, I had a night ruined due to a phone. I now ask them to turn it off when I get to the room. One board member advocated locking it in the safe until morning! I applaud the idea. Come on I just told you about booze, women and gambling! And no songs? There's karaoke places everywhere (and they'll parade a bunch of hot Chinese chicks before you that you get to pick from to hang out and serve you). There's plenty to be had, it's just at mostly western prices. -Vox

KL is a great city, but if you are looking for P4P you might as well wait until you get to LOS. P4P is available if you want it, but not quite as out in the open. Downtown, you can pick up freelancers at Beach Club. They congregate on the right side of the bar (if you are facing the bar from the entrance). They probably wont approach you though. If you are good-looking and white you can probably find an upper-class Chinese-Malaysian who wants to fuck a white guy. There are a bunch of disco's right around there as well but I don't know a lot about them. If you want to see the trendy nightlife get out to Bang Sar where you will find a huge neighborhood of bars, clubs and restaurants catering to KL's young rich and upper class. Another cool thing to do is to go up to the resort/casinos outside of town. They are at 2500m elevation and it can get pretty cool up there which is a nice break from the heat of KL. Also up there is one of only two vertical wind tunnels in the world. If you are a sky diver, it is not to be missed. -Vox

Earlier this summer they had a great deal where you could apply miles to a portion of a ticket. If I recall correctly you could get to LOS from the States for about $250 + 20,000 miles. NW seems to have Asian promotions all the time. On my last trip though the bastards wouldn't let me change my flight back from Thailand for a few days later, even for a big fee. Of course I just said fuck it and bought a new one-way ticket home! -Vox

I stayed there in May and was very happy with it. I never noticed any street noise, but I don't think I was ever off to sleep before 2 or 3am anyway. I liked that the welcome basket had condoms, K-Y and a bottle of whiskey! Very guest friendly and I even kept getting flirting smiles from the desk ladies despite the parade of BG's I had going to my room. I didn't try but I was told that I could have bargained them down 100-200 Baht due to the lack of customers this low season. -Vox

If the question was about my hometown I'd answer yes, but in Pattaya I have to give a realistic "no" as an answer. I'm just not going to think, "hey, look! There's a Hungarian place!" when I'm walking around in Pattaya. If there was one on Sukumwit in Bangkok I'd probably think of going though. Odd huh? Just different feels to different places. Pattaya is so dominated by the P4P scene that the other stuff fades into the background and becomes unimportant, while in Bangkok I seem to be able to do more regular stuff and actually care about things such as where I eat. -Vox

Hi Chris, I plan on hitting a gym while in Pattaya as well but I wont be doing any gear while there (and I haven't ever). As a word of caution I really, really urge you to make sure you know EXACTLY what you're doing before you decide to show up and start using a lot of AAS. You can get just about anything you want at the right pharmacy, but a bad cycle can range from doing nothing for you to giving you masive hair loss and some nice big bitch tits. There are a lot of places with boards that can help you. Check out the extreme forum on www.anabolicextreme.com or the boards at www.anabolex.com as well as t-mag. You need to know what to take, what anti-estrogens to use and for how long. What needles to use, etc.. And of course you need to remember that without the proper diet your cycle will be worthless.
