I fly at least 50,000 a year on UA and generally speaking, I'm satisfied with the service. I'm a premier executive with their frequent flyer program and I'm able to book exit row seating and as far as using my frequent flyer miles usally I'm able to get first choice on my PHL-BKK flights. I could care less what the FA look like as long as I get good service

No it's still good value for the money but I was responding to MM post and next year when guys are looking for a late high season booking, I won't bother to email a few guest house owner's I know for rooms.

How does one plane in service prove it's a quality aircraft? So far a 6 month delay for the 787 and Boeing projects an October delivery for commerical service. It's hard to get around the fact that the 787 has 790 firm orders versus the less the 300 for the 380. I don't think the EU taxpayer if they knew what each 380 delivered cost them they would be pleased with the number.

Boeing announces 790 firm orders for the 787. I don't know for sure but I think they've crossed the break even point. I know that Airbus has a loooong way to go with the 380 to even reach the break even point.

I want to take this opportunity to apologize to the board members who where able to book high season last minute reservations at Sky-Top. Next year I won't be bothered to help other board members find last minute reservations.

Due to some late cancellations, Sky-Top has rooms available for January. Book early as January is a busy month.

Sky-Top is newly renovated within the last year with fresh paint, new bathroom and non slip tile on the floor. Free internet along with AC,TV,fridge, in room safe and no joiner fee. Place is clean and well maintained.Great location on 2nd Road, one block from Beach Road and soi 6 is less then a 2 minute walk. Rooms go for 450 to 850 per night.

Sky-Top now offers FREE internet for guests. You can use the computer's in the ground floor internet cafe during operating hours for as long as you want. Just one more reason why Sky-Top is good value for the money. BTW you can use your own laptop in the cafe.

I'm staying at another hotel with my wife. She needs a hotel with elevator service. When she leaves I move to Sky-Top for the rest of my stay.

It's my perception it's good value for the money. Sky-Top has a reasonable number of guys who are repeat customers and I'm one of them.

I like the fish & chips and Sunday carvery. Eat there fairly regularly.

At the time I voiced my complaint to the previous owner when the problem developed with the staff person. Pete purchased Sky-Top soon after this incident happened and fired the girl for this and other problems she caused. Let's bundle the various Sky-Top threads together and you've made numerous uncalled for negative comments especially since we both know you've never stopped by to see what Sky-Top has to offer. Like I said, Sky-Top is the only one you seem to go on and on about. Why do I recommend Sky-Top? Easy to answer, good value for the money. Great location on 2nd Road, one block from Beach road, easy walking distance to BigC and on the other side to Tops. Clean no hassle with the bill and newly renovated. Like I said good value for the money.

Sky-Top has moved one shop down and the building was totally renovated. New bathrooms with non slip tile. Fresh paint on the walls with new tile floor. In room safe, 20"TV with cable, fridge. No joiner fees. ROLAND, I agree he shouldn't have done it but it doesn't take away from the good value that Sky-Top represents to the average board member whose looking for a clean good quality guesthouse.

CheshireTom, For a guy who never bothered to stop by and look at a room in the old or new Sky-Top you certainly go on and on about this place. Matter of fact this is the only hotel/guesthouse you go after. I wonder why? Pete runs a quality business, good customer service and no bullshit with the bill and you seem to take great pleasure in pissing on him at every opportunity.

Both places you recommend have much higher daily rates then Sky-Top. Yes Pinewood has more amenities but it's 1200 per day. Marika is 1000 per day. As I've stated before Sky-Top is good value for the money and with rates from 450-800 per day it's hard to beat.

Siam House seems to be a good place to stay but at a much higher rate then Sky-Top. Plus I don't care for the location. Way to far from soi 6. Comparing a 30K per month condo to a cheap guesthouse is the same as comparing apples to oranges. I've been offered two bedroom one bath with euro kitchen house for 15K on a 12 month lease. This doesn't have much to do with a two week stay or even a month stay in Pattaya. Getting back to the original reason, I started this topic. Sky-Top has two rooms left for the Xmas-New Year time period.

Nonsense if guys only stay long term in high season. Siam House looks to be a fine place to stay with dare I say it, one hellva monthly discount. I plan on checking it out next month when I'm in town. BTW does it have a fire escape?

I wonder how many guesthouses/hotels in Pattaya are offering monthly discounts during the height of the high season? A more reasonable question would have been what type of discounts are you offering during low season? BTW 3800 baht discount during high season is not that shabby. Sky-Top has rooms from 450 to 800. Tropical Bert's has rooms for 700 and Queen Vic has rooms for 800. All good value for the money. For the guy who doesn't need or want to spend the money on a large 800 per night room, he can choose a less expensive option. When you book at Sky-Top one size room doesn't fit all.

If I remember correctly, YOU jumped into this exchange when you didn't have to and now that you get a taste of my 'sense of humor' and 'dead on accuracy' you don't like it and start with threats. Thanks for the 'heads up' on opening a Thai bank account. I take it since my wife and I will be applying for a retirement visa, we will need two bank accounts? Since we'll be in Pattaya next month easy to do.
