This event gives a new meaning to " FRIENDLY FIRE"!!!. A subject that the good old yanks are top drawer at doing!!!.

As i,ve been going to Pattaya since 1993 i know my way around the place. I found a great little guesthouse a few doors down from the Rising Sun in Soi Yamato called the Sa Apartments. Very clean, 24 hour food downstairs, GF and they really make an effort - always polite & friendly. If you try and get in this place, get the two front rooms, they are big!!, with all the usual stuff, hot water etc. The rooms cost B500 all year round. Its in a great location too, easy to get anywhere, but the only drawback being the creatures of the 3rd category that loiter about on the bottom of Yamato [beach road] who try & have a sly grope with you.....the twats!!. Obviously it will be difficult 2 find somewhere with the facilities he needs. It would be OK to get along the beach road as its been flagged and like a promenade, but Pattaya does lag behind when it comes to disabled access. Your friend obviously needs a hotel with a lift, and a pretty big room with "wider" doors, i.e toilets etc. I would suggest that you book a more upmarket place and spend a bit more money on the service. Pattaya is a great city with great people, i have seen people there in wheelchairs before and have had a great time, but as to where they stayed i don,t know. As for the bars, the majority are on ground level, including the GO-GOs, many bars are open aired and all the girls, people are really friendly, so your friend will be welcomed with open arms. Getting around should be no problem, just watch out for the speed of traffic and the hoards of tourists who stop in the middle of the footpaths and stare at souvenirs blocking your way!!!!. Can any of u lads tell me how much it is to get a bus to Surathani?, as i wat 2 get the ferry over 2 Samui. I know i could fly, but i,m on a budget!!! any views on beach bungalows on Chaweng? cheap digs etc. Chok Dee lads!!!
