The way I see it, the whole ownership, permission and copyright issue is your strawman. I think it's clear, or at least implied, that there are PMs that should be posted. I really thought it was obvious that we're not talking about some pillow talk between two BMs. Further, my position is that I would not judge or criticize someone who did repost a PM under certain circumstances. Whether I or anyone in this thread would choose to do it themselves is neither here nor there.

And this is one of those situations where I wouldn't consider the person who posted the "private" message to have violated any "trust".

Information about a poster is retrieved by hovering the mouse over the userid. The national flag has been removed in lieu of the country name at the bottom of the poster summary. You were never able to see who liked or disliked your post....only the total of them.

I've split this out of the Chivas topic because, well, it's not really on that topic, and more importantly (to me, at least), it might be interesting to discuss the issue. I've made my point that I don't see it as a black and white situation. Joe calls that being disingenuous. So, for the rest of you, when do you think it is acceptable to publish an email or PM, and what steps, if any, should you take before doing so?

My lady solved our bottled water problem by filling empty bottles at one of those coin-operated dispensers. She filled 46 bottles for 24 baht...about 50 satang per bottle. We did this once before, and I've yet to get ill. Thanks for the upload. That made it obvious. You have "Just items I follow" selected, so that will only show you topics you have said you want to follow (probably you've never done that), in the last 24 hours on the forums. Go click that line and it will unselect that filter and give you what you want. I wish all problems were so easy to solve

I fall in the camp of those who think that a received email or PM, especially an unsolicited one, is fair game to be made public. If it were a friend, that's another thing altogether, but as an "aside" to a thread where the PM is contrary to what is said in the thread, why not?

As you might notice, animated gifs can be set as avatars...just not most of them I think it has to do with either the size of the .gif file in bytes, or the dimensions of the file. I'm looking for the setting that controls those limits, but they have moved them or removed them. I consider the ability to set a pseudo-pornographic moving avatar as a very low priority at this point. Another issue that is of more importance is that the 10 photo limit on uploads is back, and I have to find the correct place to modify the code (again).

In the other skins, the choice to change skins is at the very bottom of the page, saying something like CHANGE THEME or USE MOBILE VERSION. What confounds me is where did that skin you use come from? It's not like anything I've seen Invision produce, and I don't know if they produce a skin for each phone type.

Very strange. What I am seeing with the IP.Board Mobile skin is the following: When I first open the forum, I get a list of subforums. Then I click the box with squares in it to the right of the forum name and get I click NEW CONTENT and get this: Now, you can filter your new topic results by TYPE, by DATE or by clicking MORE, get choices about topics you've started, participated in, etc. I click the star or circle to the left of the topic title to get to the first unread post....not sure what the difference is yet between the star and circle. So, it appears you and I are using different skins or something. Yours doesn't appear to be the IP Board standard mobile skin, so I don't know how to help you. I kind of like yours better! If there's no clickable icon to go left, you're on the first page. The prior version did not have page numbers that I recall. If you click on the circle icon to the left of the topic title, it should take you to the first unread post or page. That is new, I think.
