  1. I have to second on the Irish clock, rooms are comfortable (cozy), good television, wireless internet and serve a variety of beers to include good food, although though the beans thing for breakfast is a bit odd (English thing I guess).
  2. What about internet banking such as ING, they were promoting big time when I was in Udan Thani a few months back. They pay decent interest rates and are based solely on the internet? Just a thought.

I met my BG almost 4 years ago, since then she has stayed knee deep in the country and I visit when I can. My only drama comes from a sister in-law that constantly talks smack behind my back, this lady has two daughters, one married to a farang and her other daughter hooked up with a farang. This Issan Mommy hit the Issan lotto i.e. both daughters hooked up with falang's now she is rich, however she continuely asks my GF when I am going to build her a house and what not, my girl contiunely tells her that I am broke, but she is okay with that because she has rice and the kids go to a good sch
  5. I may be a bit late with this, but try the main hospital in Bangkok (name escapes me Bagrum (sp), someone will post the proper name, do a search on line) many rave about it, also it is on line and you can even contact them via their website to inquire about a podiatrist and procedures offered.
  6. Man you got that right, I've been working overseas and had Washington State as my place of residence, I've now taken a contract in California and am regretting it as this socialist tax to the max state is out of control, I may make the move to Thai land now due to my new experience in this screwy state, sucks to think I will have to pick up and move again before a permanent move overseas.
  7. What you can use Tricare in Thailand, enlighten me please, thanks
  8. Have any of these projects been completed as all look to be renderings of future builds?

    Money

Ahh, I was in the same boat, howevere retired and started contracting. I was in the market doing the safe thing, but have discovered real estate as a better pay off. Go find yourself a duplex near a military base, put some money down, get the loan and either play land lord or hire a company to manage it for you while you are deployed. Six years from now you can either sell or continue renting both sides or live on one side work some more and save your pennies. However, I got to say it is hard to walk away from the contracting world as the money rocks, pretty soon you want more and more toy
  10. Wait you brought your own weapon to the police station, how, I thought that only a Thai could own a weapon, what did you say you were holding it for your wife? Man if this can be done legally I would love to know.
  11. Villa Rentals Answering my own question, all looks doable
  12. Great pictures, I had a smile from ear to ear while viewing the pics, god there is something about their smiles that is contagious, looks like they all had a great time.
  13. Hi All, I'm familar with the RG and a few other small places, however my next trip I will be spending up to a month in Thailand and need something larger. I plan on bringing my Children/semi-adults (17 and 21) over for a week visit between some of the other things I have going on. What I'm looking for is something in the Jomtiem area, 3 bedroom with a pool for a month lease, seems like a long shot, even a 3 to 4 bedroom condo would do. Thanks in advance
