I have been driving here for approx 1 year now and I hate it. I bought a big Hi lux Vigo thinking people would avoid me but they do the opposite, as soon as they see a nice car they dont give a shit especially if a falang is driving. i Personally use BUPA Blue cross international. Different levels of cover depending on what you want to spend. I have visited a hospital with my girlfriend and the treatment was first class. I was paying better than most western hospitals (private room with own nurse taking care of just my girlfriend) . So unless you have your own reasons I agree with Owen in saying that you may find the Medivac insurance OTT. In thailand if you have the money or insurance they are up there with the best of the west. (from my experiences)

I also use voipstunt and it is great no delays like skype and calls are free to landlines in lots of countries providing you add 10 euros to your balance. I have not had no problems so far but still have skype as a back up.

i am travelling to pattaya over xmas for the third time. this time however i am on my own due to my friend cancelling at the last minute, and am just wondering is there plenty to do during the day also are there certain bars that i can go to to meet with fellow brits to go out for a drink. last time i was there i just lay about on the beach during the day.
