totally agree but believe me I was raised with nothing....everything I have, I worked very hard for. I am used to working 17 hours per day 7 days per week. But I burned myself out. I am now looking to work but need to find something that wont take over my life. A very difficult situation, I bet many people would love the idea of sitting about on their arse but after 2 years of doing that I am ready to start to work again. I am even thinking of working offshore and spending 3 weeks working then 3 weeks here. Just to occupy myself.

From what I can gather Cambodia is welcoming foriegn investment. Thais dont want my money. Very hard to make money here as businesses are at saturation level and like fuck would I open a bar. DO NOT buy second hand. You never know what you are getting. A friend of mine bought a second hand BMW paid 1.6 million baht and then tried to sell it 6 months later and found out it had been in 3 crashes and stolen. He had to sell for 800K and lost alot of money. I purchased a new top of the range Vigo and sold it after 1 year and only losr 150000 baht. Good value if you ask me.

Due to all the recent developments in Thailand i am looking to relocate. I am looking for good information sites on Cambodia or Vietnam. Always check your dates......Just because they work in immigration does not mean they have a fuckiing clue. I did a border run a while ago for my 90 day stamp, I am on a 1 year non B visa and when I reentred through Ma Sai they only stamped my for 30 days. I noticed this and told him and he said it was my fault as I should have shown him the 1 year visa..........The "intelligent Thai man" looked at it on the next page before he stamped my passport. I just looked at him saying nothing while thinking how much of a thick twat he was and to my suprise he just crossed out the 30 day stamp date and then entered the 90 day stamp date. When I left the country through BKK airport to go to china they noticed this and I had to sit there for 1 hour trying to explain what had happened. They eventually let me go though.

while I agree with you in principal you are trying to put western logic into the minds of a thai BG.

I think this could cause problems as alot of girls might then refuse to go with guys until later so then the customers just leave and try somewhere else. I know if I went into a bar and the girl tried to stop me paying the barfine too early I would leave and not go back.

Yes my friend bought a bike from there and it was a stolen bike that was restamped. Nearly all big bikes in Thailand are stolen unless you by from a dealer and pay an absolute fortune for one.

If you deal in stolen goods you have to expect some come backs. Nearly all "big bikes" In Thailand are stolen from Japan then brought here with the numbers taken off then restamped and registered. I would not feel too sorry for this guy.

They are taking the piss. If you have only a little bit then just write your own and get it translated and then both of you sign it. Make sure you get it witnessed. Only needs to be in english to still be legal. A certified translation should cost no more than 300 baht. Do what i did get each paragraph writen in english and thai on the same page. If you want I will dig out my will and send you a copy this was done for me by my lawyer for 3000 baht. PM me if you want it. I will off course have to block out certain information.
