Priority Pass is great to have access basically anywhere! I agree it is a great asset to have a lounge membership, since I am a Northwest Airlines Worldclub member. I have access to clubs all over Asia and the world. I don't need to be traveling on Northwest Airlines to enter the clubs -- just need my membership card! So I can be traveling BKK-SIN-BKK on a visarun on Air Asia, and enter the lounges in BKK and SIN. It is really worth it for people who travel a lot.

I have a condo in View Talay 1 B now available. Yes, I know this is not View Talay 2 B. :)

I have a couple View Talay condos for rent, but they're studios.

View Talay is definitely not gay. It is a huge apartment complex with a big mix of people. Certainly some of the tenants are gay.

I own two new, very nicely furnished and decorated studio condos in View Talay -- one on 6th floor, and one on the 7th floor. Feel free to email me when you know your dates. These are not one bedroom condos though, but studios (ie. not two rooms). The thai food at Diana buffet isn't really that good in my opinion. Other than that I have no suggestion -- as I don't know any that are! Apex is sort of decent. Maybe just buy 5 thai dishes at 30B each and you've got yourself a buffet and at the same price served up fresh! :)

It's 10 baht. The baht busses run all the time on this popular route.

This is a good value hotel. Last time I was there a year ago it was 400B/night. Who knows what it is now. No pool, no restaurant, just a no frills decent place to stay. I always used to stay here before I bought my own place.

I stayed there because I needed the internet for my laptop. If I didn't need the internet, then anywhere else would've been ok too. It's decent. Nothing special. Just cheap plywood furniture, hard bed. Clean rooms and good size. I didn't try the food.

Welcome Plaza is an unfriendly rip off joint, and run down last I experienced. I remember the sign over reception that says "No Child Prostitution allowed at this hotel" or something. It's a real dump. That said, the pool in the back of the hotel is nice. But the rooms smell just old, and old carpet, knicks and scratches on all the furniture. A real turn off. Anything is better than this place. Last I was there I had a room reserved, arrived to check in, ready to pay with credit card for my 650B special rate. The assistant manager swipes my card for 650B and then says she must take

You think those farrang ladies really care about you and your Thai girls? I doubt it. It's just entertaining for them I'm sure, but nothing else. Just have a good time, same like they came to have a good time. I like the Pattaya mix.

bad seats: middle seats, , seats near bathroom or kitchen, seats that don't recline, or any JAL seat.

1600 is only slightly high, because you can just take a regular taxi, negotiate to around 1200B plus tolls. You can also take the airport bus for 250B to pattaya.

The bahtbus comes every minute in front of View Talay, and gets me to south Pattaya in 5 minutes. From south pattaya, the same bahtbus continues on to Central Pattaya, Big C, North Pattaya -- all for 10 baht. The same bahtbus even continues on to Naklua. It's just so easy. These are open air bahtbusses, where you can look at all the action as you're whizzing by. It ain't boring. By the way, the rental prices will vary greatly in View Talay, depending on the quality of the owner's decorating investment.

The rooms are real nicely decorated, stylish. breakfast is very average fine. won't fill you up too much. a fine nice new place.
