  1. Mmmm, this thread is making me hungry for bacon-wrapped hot dogs and pink tacos in Tijuana.
  2. "Room electricity is bound to a keycard, so when you leave there is no juice to charge your stuff." That keycard you can take off since you don't need it to get in the room. Problem solved. The location is great, but I don't particularly like the front staff, especially that fat lady.
  3. The Avenue is really across the street and it's open (only a few shops and the movie theater but it's open to walk through). It's a substantial mall but not enclosed. Instead of having to walk to Soi 15, cutting through the Avenue puts you right in front of Soi Yamato (13/1) (about a 5 minute walk). The free shuttle service is reliable as well. Great value at the promo rates but I'd probably pass once it expires.
  4. evaair.com Book by Sept. 4 traveling from: Sept. 5 to Nov. 7 $610 economy to Bkk, $900 deluxe!
  5. Imagine if LOS was just a few miles away... I know guys who live in Mexico and commute to work in San Diego.
  6. Thanks guys. I guess prices don't correlate to high/low season in Thailand.
  7. Does anyone know any deals? Eva is quoting $870 including tax, round trip economy with a stop in Singapore. Last November I got the same flight for $810. I'd prefer not to ride economy again, but my budget may no allow a bump. Thanks in advance.
  8. Direct. My last trip was my first and I flew EVAAIR from LAX to Singapore to BKK. That first leg was terrible. Most of the people in the plane would have felt just as comfortable in a cargo container drifting along the Pacific for months.
  9. It was 600 in some bars in NEP. I took 2 girls, that's 1200 baht just to get them out.
  10. Small world. I was in Stockton last week. Took the bar exam in Sac and a friend lives in Stockton. Another question, are these flights usually full or are they sometimes half capacity?
  11. Thanks. Does anyone know the maximum length for a layover? Eg, stay in Tokyo for a week then goto Thailand then back to LA. I'm guessing it's not possible correct?
  12. Yeah I forgot the tax...700 and change after that. still not bad. thanks.
  13. Thanks! $573 for roundtrip. That's cheap. Never even heard of Evaair.
