On another thread the poster advised that when you use the over-the-counter withdrawal with your passport in support this is not an ATM withdrawal (thus no 150 baht transaction fee applicable) but the 20,000 limit DOES NOT APPLY - even if the bank counter staff tell you it does. The poster asked them to swipe the card for about £500 and it did pay...as long as the money is in your account there is apparently no limit on the withdrawal....don't know if that is right but will try it when there

So that's why the mental note I made on my last visit a few weeks ago was "a dead loss"......had a few sips of a Coke & buggered off......was looking for company....think the "no hassle" policy results in the non dancing girls all huddling up (backs to the punters) in the top left hand corner so a punter cannot even see if there is anyone to smile at..... Like I said, "a dead loss"

TAXI REQUIREMENT FROM SUVARNABHUMI INTL TO PATTAYA BM
chantrycat replied to chantrycat's topic in Transport in Thailand
thanks for the info.....suppose will get used to other forums but have really only used the Members Forum to date.....have tried Mr T before as posted but got a "no show"....usually manage to negotiate on the arrivals level 1,200 inc' tollway then give 200 tip to the driver....but the uncertainty of no specific booking is a bit of a drag and I would much prefer to have a pre-booking arranged (as long as the driver turns up on time without my having to look for him) -
I agree Business Class is just not worth the additional fare...have never paid it but have travelled Business Class many times on Thai Frequent Flyer upgrades...great on a complementary basis but every time I travel I wonder just why anyone would pay the additional fare

Reference the comment, "The general consensus seems to be the Rodeo Girls chrome pole palace is about the best on the soi these days" - I am bloody amazed - it operates a 1,000 baht barfine up to late evening - why would ANYBODY pay this sum when you can get a barfine as low as 400 in a couple of Walking Street go gos and 500/600 in the rest? Have looked in Rodeo Girls evey time I visit just to see if they have moderated the 1,000 barfine - they haven't - nor do they have any lookers worth even considering that kind of payment

a straight and serious question......if you purchased in the name of your TG and took a simultaneous lease-back for 30 years is that still such a risky course of action?

SOI L.K. METRO (CENTRAL PATTAYA)
chantrycat replied to mulphy's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Probably Rodeo Girls - same management I was told - but at 1,000 baht barfine they would have to be bloody hot for me to be interested -
SOI L.K. METRO (CENTRAL PATTAYA)
chantrycat replied to mulphy's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Why try to compare it with Walking Street? A much better comparison would be Pattayaland II which is (and has been) going downhill for years now. I am in Pattaya now. Recently did a post on changes to Pattayaland II made in the week - basically 1,000 baht barfines before 10pm at the new Rodeo Girls and Crystal (formerly Bubbles) go gos. Was the same as Jupiter go go before it became a boy bar last week. I also checked out Classroom, Mistys, All Girls and Kittens - didn't barfine in ANY of them - the good looking girls seem to have gone elsewhere. Used to like Pattayaland II a lot - Classroom was a favourite for me but the lookers are just not there any more. The unpredictable nature of the past ad hoc afternoon barfines in Mistys was invariably a disappointment (they have now given up afternoon opening – now starts 6pm). The current 1,000 barfines seem like barowners saying "fuck off all you regulars...we only want the stupid new farangs" - no inclination to be viewed as stupid as well as parting with my baht for a barfine for a non-looker. Unlikely to be going back to Pattayaland II for a while - other than maybe net trip just to check out if its still on the downhill slide. Did view Soi L.K. Metro again yesterday - on Sundays the Champagne go/go does a buckshee buffet shortly after opening at 4pm so its a nice early start - girls weren't bad and got quite cuddly with one in particular girl but I then left for Walking Street. Maybe will go back to rendevous with the cuddly girl in Champagne this evening This soi must have the capability of outclassing Pattayaland II - is also close to Third Road where a lot of ex pats reside - I keep an apartment the year round there - note mention of the new developments for this L shaped road - and being so close to soi baukow (must learn how to spell that soi!) cannot really fail to grow in popularity - compare Pattayaland II! -
Same same for me - never a Thai and have had literally hundreds - but had a Phillipino girl in Angeles a few months ago who had just started working bar - when I asked to "paybar" for her she replied "whats that?" anyway she squirted during muff-diving sessions - not just one but several times - have had her repeatedly since then and she does the same every time. Have to confess that from everything she told me when we talked I felt she was starting in the wrong business to earn a few thousand peso a month - I agreed "to take care" for 6 months so she could return to her province look after her 4 children- matching the bar's salary a month (with a bit extra) is not too expensive! Last month had to take a side trip somewhere for about 3,000 miles to preserve my Thai Gold Card status so went this time to Makati where she agreed to meet me for a few days - and yes she was still squirting Not quite sure where that relationship will go - have been taking a regular 7 days in Angeles as a preface to my Pattaya stays - probably will end up adding a few extra days in Makati now!

No problem whatever with having the teeth whitening exercise - speak from First Hand (do I mean Teeth?) experience? I had it done in the place on Second Road at the T junction with Soi 6. Ultra modern surgery & spotlessly clean. If you've been up & down Soi 6 half a dozen times in one afternoon & not found the company your looking for then with an hour and a half or so still to spare they will do it for you for 12,000 baht. I didn't even need an appointment although went there with the idea of arranging one. They did it there & then. No problems with it at all - painless (though I think the technician did give me some pain killer tablets in case I had any tooth ache problem at night). They do tell you not to drink tea/coffee/coke for a few days after as these discolour the cleaned teeth. The place I mention has a sign outside for tooth whitening so you cannot miss it - assume you are trying to walk to Big C from the top of Soi 6 - cross the road & you are virtually there before you have begun your walk. Had mine done about 18 months ago - may well have a repeat next trip - when is my next trip? I'm at LHR now waiting for the plane in about 2 hours time..... : feels like waiting outside of the Gates of Heavan - I hope they let me in......
