  1. Thanks for the response. I tried the numbers listed before I posted the quetsion and they would not work. I even tried the numbers with 0 and 8 in front of them. I have a number of a travel agent in Pattaya that I can call and see if they have the number.
  2. Dose any one have a current phone number or web address for the J &P Hotel in Soi Lengkee? My friend stayed thier and said it was good for the price (I think 650baht), but he did not take a business card. I was going to stay thier when I go at the end of August.
  3. Thanks for the advice. I am going to book the trip through either Nok air or Air Asia. Any preferance of the two. The price is around the same of 2000 baht.
  4. I know you can use United miles on Thai Airways. I know thier is a small fee for using miles. My question is better to book through United or call Thai directly to book a flight. I am going to Chiang Mai while I am in Thailand and was going to use some miles that are going to expire in September. Thanks for any help.
  5. I am in the US and i keep going through phone card quickly. The cards either have a service charge or the rates will change and then thier is the problem with the quality of calls. I just started using yahoo messenger pc to mobile. The rates to a Thailand mobile are around .05 cents . It is the cheapest rate I have seen and the connection is excellent. I am sure thay have a similar plan in England. Are their any promotions right now in Thailand for calling abroad? I know they had one a few months back that was around 1baht a minute.
  6. I just came back back on Sunday the 15th. I will pass along a few thing I noticed. If you have someone or a taxi waiting to pick you up agree on what gate you will meet at beforehand. There are 3- A - B - C. You can go through any letter after you pick up your baggage. When leaving get there early. I checked into my flight at 6:10 am for my 8:10 JLA flight. Thier was a huge line for the 500 baht exit fee. They do not have the ATM style machines hooked up yet. You have to walk up to the window and pay the fee to receive the exit ticket. The JLA window is in section R in the ai
  7. I spoke to my girl in Pattaya and she said thier was no problems. I even got a email from her and she reffered to it as "revolution in bangkok". As of now I still plan on leaving for Pattaya on Oct.1, but I am watching the situation. I will avoid Bangkok though.
  8. I have never had any problems in Pattaya. As most people have stated just use common sense but my girl has told me to stay away from the beach at night. This is the area that seems to have problems
  9. I used the service on March 23. My flight was 30 minutes late and another 20 minutes through customs. Mr. Toon did not pick me up but a very nice woman was holding a sign with my name and was the driver that day. Great service. I will now use his service always.
  10. I emailed him and het got back to me very quick. I will be using his service next Thursday 23rd. 1 week to go from cold raining weather to paradise!!
  11. I just got my ticket to Thailand from San Francisco. It was $781 total. They will give me Asia miles but no AA miles. In the past when I bought the Cathay cyber special they would not credit my flight miles. I am will be going late march. Will the new airport be open or is it delayed again?
  12. I was in Pattaya last week and twice this happen to me. I usally have my girl pay the 20 baht fee so thier is no hassel. 2 times I gave her 50 baht and the driver just sped off with out giving change. I guess I am not alone on this matter. What do the local Thai's pay for a taxi ride?
  13. I got a UA flight through Yahoo for $717 out the door. I leave SF Oct 28 and return Nov. 7. The deal is only Monday thru Thursday. Can not wait to go.
  14. No there are not in room safes. That is a draw back. They do make you sign and date a piece of paper when you access you safe deposit box. Also the swimming pool is not very big. Its on the roof of the building.
  15. The Dynasty Inn is about a 2 years old. I have stayed thier 3 times and the staff is very friendly. The only complaint is the cable dose not get many channels. If you stay there don't use thier internet. Thier are several internet bars very close that are cheaper and faster. I plan on staying thier when I go back in October. You can use the back alley if you do not want the "walk of shame".
