Here in the PI its quite normal to have razor wire, Everyone has it. Some places like compounds have armed guards but that is also quite normal, Hey we have armed guards here at mcdonalds! I have a english neighbor across the road never had a problem been here 3 years, It is a very quiet area you would not believe you are down the road from the action of fields. None of the foreigners here in close vicinity have armed guards or such, Its a pretty good community. It is the way things are here, precautionary measures for any property is a must.

Last july i flew into bkk from manila with 50 cartons to take to the uk, x rayed my bag and that was it, 8 hours and 149,000 baht later i was free to go. Never again! I kid you not. I was fined around 4800 for each carton but could not get enough cash so they let me go, I was lucky to not have ended up in bangwang.

Well at the moment i am about 1 week away from exchanging, when done i will be relocating full time over to los, For me a 31 year old it is the right thing to do, i can come back in 5-10 years if it all goes wrong but the way i see it how can life be as boring in paradise, its all down to what you.
