  1. Thanks, just checked your replies. BTW:having a pool not essential since found most Tgals wont go in water regardless of how hot it is outside. Most important factors are location, condition of the rooms and bathrooms and of course--price!! some people care how the lobby looks, have restaurant etc. but not important to me as I plan to sleep in the room and not the lobby. Happy New Year. PT
  2. Thanks for the reply, still need little more info. on this place. Can you remember if the rooms were big, clean and decent or really worn out? Also is there a bathtub in the bathrooms and if the bathrooms were clean and modern. Only asking because you said place more for backbackers and I've stayed in places where they frequent and the norm is for rooms to be tiny, old, worn out, bathrooms are not very clean places---but backbackers tend to sacrifice cleaniness and space for the cheap prices (I should know cause I was once a backbacker in my youth.) And lastly, is the place guest friendly when you were there? Still, you paid 150b several years ago--good prices back only 4 years ago. I think its over 500b/nite now via internet, so dont know if prices can be cheaper if walk in and bargain or if place worth the new price? PT
  3. Tried finding the Location of Paradise GH and Hotel but unable to locate on any maps so not sure of location. Web pages said 10 min walk from Nite market but unsure in what direction and if this place is near action area or Thapae Gate? Also if have any info if place is guest friendly please let me know. Thanks PT
  4. Prices for Top North Guest House looks good. But dont have much info on this place. Heard more about the Top North Hotel (nearby) is OK but more expensive. Anyone ever seen or stayed or heard about the room conditions at the Top North Guest House( dont really care how the lobby looks). Plan to give it a try next time in C.M. but dont know if it is a clean decent place or just an old worn out dump thats not worth the money? Thanks PT
  5. Hey bros, I was in Pattaya recently and didnt know this ferry service existed. I mainly went to Pattaya beach and once to Jomtien( it was ok--not great) Where exactly do U catch this ferry service for 20b? and since never been to Koh Larn, dont know how big the island is , so do U need transport once on isle to get around or everything is walking distance? Thanks PT
  6. Hi guys I never used vit"V" before so need some input as I may use it next time I visit LOS in NOV. 1)Assuming a healthy male in late 40s with normal functions, any experience what are the benefits of using Vit V. ex: will have longer duration? better climax? etc. or will it have no real effects on normal guys (not meant to inflame any of U normal guys out there using this, just want to know what will happen. Kinda like a benefit to risk as I understand pills do carry side effects? 2)Understand Viagra is not only one available--newer ones are out now, any experience using other brands. also please welcome to comment on which is prefer and reasons why. ex: cost more or less, better response, quicker response etc. 3)read somewhere people are cutting up the tablets into 2 or 3 or 4? but dont really know what the reason for doing this. Also welcome to comment on this. I suspect its because to save money? but not sure. I know anyone could do a search on this topic and will most likely get a very bias opinion from mostly drug company related answers. What I am seeking are real life experiences with these "vitamins", good or bad. All comments welcome. Thanks PT
  7. Stayed there in Nov for 4 nites. Just dont let the front of hotel fool you (looks nice out front with the restaurant and pool and all) but rooms were very worn and very old. Lights are dim and bathrooms need touch up (big time)-now U know why they have dim lights. Good for few nites only but 2 Months!--forget it, go elsewhere. PT
  8. Still cant count on new airport opening in Oct 2006 because thats what they said in Nov 2005 when I was there that it should be opened awhile ago, but still landed at same old airport. But good news should be New airport closer to Pattaya, so maybe cheaper travel there (I HOPE?) PT
  9. Thanks TF Any additional info will be welcome. (in March is fine) Although not now, I will probably need this info for my next trip back in Oct 2006. Just want to say I envy U will be there before me. Cheers PT
  10. Try this website: www.WEBMD.com Its free and may (or maynot ) have the answer U seek. Still, this website is very handy for many medical questions anyone might have while travelling. Its all in simple answers most can understand. PT
  11. The time of 3 hours still not bad. My entire trip lasted over 3 hours when I couldnt find the direct bus from Bkk airport to Pattaya. I ended up taking taxi to Morchit2--little traffic so took over 30min, then the wait for Pattaya bus to leave the station (another 20min) then bus took about 2 hours 30min to get to Pattaya. Total 3.5hrs And cost more, taxi fare+tolls+airport taxi surcharge+pattaya bus fare=over 300b So direct bus still a bargain. So just to clarify, If I showed up at airport (assuming International arrival and not calling them ahead as I dont know how long it takes if my flight gets delayed and getting thru customs etc, where exactly do I wait for this bus , Also, Do these buses usually leave on time? Please note: These questions are for the bus leaving BKK airport for Pattaya, thanks PT
  12. As i had posted earlier, agree that anyone should do both Pattaya and BKK. IMO-Bkk is more hectic and perhaps more expensive, but the experiences there shouldn't be missed either. PT
  13. Wait, need to clarify this. You mean the fare from Pattaya bus terminal should only cost about 20b MAX? I guess they really ripped me off. They wouldnt take me unless I gave them 60b. I tried to offer 20b, said no, then 30b, again no, then 40b, and no. I walked away to another baht bus, offer same, and got same response--NO. Tried 3rd driver-No. I didnt know the normal rate so being it was getting late and I had already wasted 10min with these clowns, I finally said 60b and then he said yes. Now the other question: how much should I have paid (usual rate and max rate)for the ride back to Pattaya bus station from my hotel? PT
  14. Deadman, As I just came back for 1st time in LOS, went to both BKK and Pattaya. 1)if U into the massage parlor scene, BKK your best choice. No shortage of great MPs in BKK. Pattaya MPs cant compare to BKK in this dept. Pattaya have about 1-2 places while Bkk have about 30. 2)if U into sightseeing, by all means, spend 2-3 days 1st in BKK as the sights are great, traffic is terrible so a great mixture of urban living. If U not from a big city like me( so Im use to all this), BKK is a great wonderful experience. Its more hectic but its part of the fun. 3)BKK lacks a beach and the bar scene thats famous in Pattaya, so may be little more expensive and difficult to pick up a gal to your taste 4) But it is more relaxing here in Pattaya(but no sightseeing or much to do other than the bar scene and lie on the beach during the day. So in conclusion, its up to U what U actually like. Sightseeing or just for the gals. PT
  15. Tried to take the direct airport bus from BKK airport to Pattaya as I have heard it exist. I was trying to do just that (instead of taxi to Morchit2 or Ekamai bus stations) then bus to Pattya. Everyone I asked at airport said this service did not exist. Does anyone know if bus service to Pattaya from airport still exist and if it does, where at the airport do i catch this bus and how to pay for it. Also, bus schedule and latest prices will be helpful. Thanks PT
  16. Don't worry Bunple, We all take our hits once in awhile. My beer offer to find beach with you still hold. Cheers PT
  17. Agree with all post here. All the Asia airlines that fly out of the states are much better in service and comfort and food compare to all the US based airlines. I have flown with Japan airlines and Cathay pac. to HK and Bkk. Most asia airlines cost a little more and dont have the flexible airmiles, but its still worth it --IMO PT
  18. Let me get this right. Been to Pattaya 3 times and have not seen the beach and dont know if a beach exist? Perhaps the location named Pattaya Beach should be a big clue. Just curious, Which hotel did you stay at and where was it located? Ha ha, in conclusion Bro, I know I've had some bad nights where even I must admit I can't remember where I was or what was around me, but for you, perhaps it was best you never made it near the water as alot of unpleasant things can happen to someone who is truly in worst shape than me and clearly shouldn't be near a large body of water. But don't worry, I'm sure you will find the beach on your 4th visit there. Its not too hard, just keep walking and the water will find You. If not, PM me and if I happen to be there at the time, we'll have a beer and find this beach together. cheers PT
  19. I stayed here one nite during Nov. The place was very, very nice. Clean and nice surroundings. Most important, it was convenient to most "action places". place is More upscale than most budget places in Pattaya. I think it is worth the price, even in high season (which was NOV) when I was there, but definitely worth it if booking during the low season
  20. Hi Bros, Just got back from LOS for my first time and met some very nice people there. I like to keep in contact with some of them (not bar girls), they are just regular working people. But they are not very good with English and my Thai is non-existant. They gave me their e-mail address and I would like to write to them in the future. Are there any FREE online translation programs on the web that will automatically translate any english I type into Thai and vise versa if I get any messages in Thai. Note: I am not very good with computers, so any programs with step by step instructions for initial set up will help. Thanks PT
  21. Dont make the mistakes I made. See above for the 1st 3 rules.
  22. Hi Bros, I have just returned from Pattaya yesterday. Liked to thank all folks that was so helpful in trying to locate inexpensive hotels for me there during high season. I didn't really have that great of a time since I am a newbie there and had my fair share of failures not knowing all the rules of engagements. I got ripped off more than once while there. Since this forum cant really discuss bargirl situations, cant get into the details, but I don't know if I would go back anytime soon. Still steamed thinking about some of the experiences. So, bottom line, not all experiences are good ones.
  23. Saw some good prices for Siam Sawasdee Hotel (soi Honey) and Champ Pattaya Hotel in (south Pattaya). Need info on both hotels, Are they near the action and most inportant, do they charge Joiner fees? Have conflicting reports on Siam Sawasdee that they charge, and others say they dont care what U bring back, so like to know for sure. I plan to have a Guest and dont want to be charge even if I book a double room. Any feedback will be helpful. Note : Champ Hotel is in South Pattaya, dont really know if this is far from action area ,since I never been to Pattaya. Thanks all
  24. Is this place guest friendly?
