Hello all... My Thai GF wants me to buy a laptop for her so that we can chat and she can use it to do her school work when she goes back to Thailand in November. I don't mind buying her one but just a cheap second hand pc I've looked around here in Aust and second hand notebooks are selling for around $400AUS... Is it better to buy a laptop here in Aust or wait till we goto Thailand in November and buy one???? What are the prices for second hand laptops in Thailand???? thanks in advance Row

Hello all.... need some help/advice...I'll be in Pattaya from the 10th December for a week (this will be my first visit)...so i was thinking of staying at Queen Vic on Soi 6 but now i'm thinking maybe it'll be to close to the action and maybe somewhere like Flipper Lodge etc will be better (though a little more expensive).. I just can't make my mind up DAMIT so any help would be appreciated. cheers Row

Been looking at your post and i might be coming to Thailand around the same time as yourself so we should hook up as this will only be my 2nd time to thailand 1st time was in May this year but i was with my GF so i couldn't do much :) In Pattaya i stayed at the Areca Lodge which was a really good hotel that was fairly close to everything...i tell you the chicks are unbeleavable...they are everywhere....every corner has a bar full of girls....no wonder its so popular. so where are you from in Aust????? I won't know if i'm going for a few weeks yet but it would be nice to hang out together cheers Rowan

Hi all everyone says that Areca Lodge is a great place to stay but nearly everyone who recommends Areca goes onto say that 2nd Road is a bitch...... Is it really that bad??? Isn't there pedestrian crossings etc?????? thanks Rowan
