Especially when you have low standards. I dont pay BF very often but if I have ever done it the average LT has been about 3 months. They just dont go back. If they are worth taking they are worth keeping.

I wouldnt bother with pen pal sites. If you want a decent contact with a decent Thai girl. Do some research on factories and business in BKK. Area's I know include Microelectronics, Clothing Manufacturers but there are many others. Look for western owned large names. They will have PC systems where many girls use English in there jobs. E-mail to the personnel department and talk about helping develop English and Thai language skills as a pen pal. They should put you address up and generate loads of replies. Many great girls want to meet farangs I know I got one. So did my son.

Just over a week ago I read in a Pattaya freebie magazine that Steve of Mermaid Divers was dead. Just shocked me as I used to know him quite well when he first moved to Pattaya. Can anybody confim this. Or is it a mistake.

Contrary to most of the above. If you are certified to at least advanced level then there is some excellent dives to be had from Pattaya and I have dived everywhere (just about) in Thailand. The Sattahip area including submarine rock as well as the harddeep wreck on a good day can be excellent. Also if your ever lucky enough to get the right conditions the Bremen wreck cane be really intresting. I have seen multiple sightings of very inquisitive giant stingrays (and I mean giant at both the Harddeep and Bremen sites.

As far as I have seen Pattaya doesnt have a beach. It has a place where the beach used to be but that is now full of deckchairs and vendors. Even Jomtien is going the same way. As the tide often comes very close to the sea wall in both areas there is not much space for a beach. I dont consider long expanses of umbrellas and deckchairs with very little exposed sand to be a beach. The authorities really need to sort it out not long ago Jomtien in paritcular was quiet nice now, no cance. If you want beach go to Koh Samui or Phuket.
