You habe to be carefull which room you choose. If you stay on 3 Floor you will not listen much noise. If you stay on 1 Floor near the Staircase you will definitly have a noiseproblem. First, everbody walks by near your room, and second, the housekeeping room is there. So i would rather change the hotel than stay on 1 floor. Btw: The WiFi Accesspoint is located on the ceiling on 2 Floor.

I wasnt drunk and i wasnt tired, it was during the day. If really someone of the staff did doing this he/she would be stupid to take everything out of the safe. He/she could do this exactlly 1 time becouse then the guest will call police and everybody of the staff will be under suspicion. If he/she takes only a little money almost unnoticed, he/she can do this many times becouse allways the guest think that the open safe was forgetfulness. Anyway, i just wanted to warn anyone to have an eye on that in the future. I dont want spread bad word of mouth about secrets, i still like it in h

No no, what i want to know is if someone else did experience something similiar. But is is hard to notice, since you must be aware about the missing lockslide after pressing the code.

Today i had made a strange experience in Secrets Hotel. I came back in the evening and only 1 of the 2 doorlocks were closed. This is normal when the room service was in, they always only lock 1. But my room was allready cleaned. When i checked he Safe, the door was closed - so i thought. After i typed in my combination nothing happened. Normally you hear the sound of the moving lock. I pulled the door and i saw: The safe was open allready !! I checked my briefcase, creditcards were all there - puh. Money: I did not had any Baht in there, i only had some Euros and i dont know how many i

Today i moved to a deluxe room which is 100 Baht cheaper than Superior room. The size of the room is almost the same, cannot spot a big difference. Only the Bed is a bit smaller and the view outside the window is to a wall.
-
I did not see the other rooms, but as the website says, they differ in size. Also, the superior rooms are located on the 3 floor, so i guess they will be less noisier too. You hear the toilet or the shower. I did not hear screaming or yelling from either girl or man (yet). I may have to ask my neighbour if he listens the gogo girl i took yesterday coz she was very loud.

I currently stay here. http://www.secretspattaya.com/ After the first night i have to say that it was less noisier than i first thought. My room is at the backside, so no street or noisy place nearby. 950 Baht for a superior room, including Internet (WiFi). Very good speed, im in on the 3. floor. Room is nice, huge bed, in room safe, fridge, silent aircon, nice bathroom. Only downside, the walls could be a bit bigger to avoid noise from the neigbours. Staff is very friendly, no joiner fee of course. So if you like Walking Street, its a good place to say.

Sounds cool. I walked by yesterday and was wondering, never seen it before. So i guess i will check it out later tonight (13.Nov) and i report tomorrow.

I tried the Limo service. They confirmed the email and when i arrive in BKK, the driver was there with a sign with my name. The car was a new Toyota like it is pictured on the internet. When we arrive at the Hotel, the driver wanted 1350 Baht instead of the 1200 thats advertised. I complained and gave him only 1200. Maybe the driver wanted to cash some extra money, i dont know.

I arrive around 3 pm in bkk and plan using mr.tooms cab. Also, anyone interessted in meeting in pat for a beer and some girly-sighseeing, pm me.

I would more likely stay nearer WS, like soi 13. I stayed in the whitehouse condotel last time and its just a simple walk.

Ranking: top restaurants - Pattaya
psychodad replied to jimmynewrider's topic in Restaurants and food
Fresh...yes...full of dirt from the street and polution of cars. Never eat food thats openly presented, escpecially if cars pass by. -
I've made a reservation only for 3 nights coz the location is something i dont like too. But the hotels i wanted to go are fully booked, others want deposit upfront which i wont pay. So i will check it out and move to another place when im on location. Perhaps i stay longer if i like it, i will see, the price is good and it looks clean.
-
I just made a Reservation there for November. http://www.de.asiarooms.com/thailand/patta...yapoon_inn.html Someone stayed there and could tell me if it was a good decision ? It seems like a new Hotel, guestfriendly, free wifi and cheap.

Interessting pricelist, they have none in the room :) If you use any Laundry outside the Hotel, prices are 1/3. If you have much clothes do it there, for some shirts only its ok use the hotelservice. Oh, another Con Factor i noticed: They dont call your room back if a girl leaves. Thats not a secure policy.
-
Yes they have but they dont have a pricelist somewhere and you dont need it anyway. There are 3 Laundrys right next to the hotel. I gave 2 shirts in one of them today, can get it back tomorrow. I can tell you which one it was when i know if it was a good choice or not. (did not get any paper or bill). Im sure the Whitehouse does not wash the clothes themselves but just give it to one of the laudrys and tripple the price. Also you have 2 ATMs, 7Eleven just 20m away, dont forget Mikes Shopping Mall and Royal Garden plaza are just a short walk away.

I dont think they change their opinion about guests, becouse on the counter there is a big sign saying that 1 guest is free and any other is 800 baht. So they have a clear rule. Another PRO point might be the TV program. (After 3 days i turned on the tv yesterday the first time and saw that they have about 70 channels, HBO, ESPN, some Movie Channels (played Windtalkers and War of the Worlds yesterday), Discovery Channel etc. Also, i did go to breakfast today at 11.10 and they still served. You should only reserve a double room if you will check in as a pair. You dont need a doub

Funny, i walked there in the morning and thought this could be a good place. I may try tomorrow.

Water is very hot and strong. I did not fill the tub yet but it should be not a problem. Sneak in: Hardly but not impossible. The reciptionist is sometimes hidden behind the counter, so you could go straight into the elevator which is left before the reception. But this can only work late night, during the day, always 2 people + belly boy at the receiption.

Im currently in the Whitehouse and im using theyre internet connection. Its not Wifi, its LAN, they have a cable in the room. It works perfect, very fast, i use it also for Skype or Yahoo msg to call home. This is the big plus of the Hotel !! 1 Guest is allowed for free, each girl more you have to pay 800 Baht. Im staying in the deluxe suite for 2500. Internet is 100 extra a day, sounds much but in an internet cafe you pay 1 bath/minute, in the room i have 24 hours for 100 baht, so its cheap if you use it often. Some Pros and Cons: Pro: -fast internet. -nice rooms (can talk onl

I was in LEK today but for safety reasons i cannot recommend it. Food served outside, no aircon. Every food stays openly on not cooled plates by 35 degrees. Flys everywhere, Marmelade is open and full of flys, dont forget eggs etc. So, if you want to stay on the toilet for the rest of your trip, eat there. I've had made this experience in Brasil 2 years ago at a similiar breakfast. (A friend of me had the same probs so we knew it was the breakfast). Ok,good choice of food there, but also good choice of Montezumas Revenge too. I would rather eat the poorly Breakfast in Whiteh

I used Mr.Tooms Service today. I saw a bulk of people with signs when i turned left after immigration, but guess who was the first in the row ? A nice lady (forget ask her name, blush) drove me savely to Pattaya, it took almost 3 hours becouse of heavy traffic and an accident. The car is a Nissan, maybe 5-6 years old but well maintained and clean. Perfect Service, Mr Toom and Lady!! Psychodad

Thanks to all, i will try some of them out. Only 6 days to go.

I will stay in the Whitehouse Condotel, i dont know how long they serve breakfast but im sure they wont serve it the time i wake up normally. Where can i have a good breakfast around Soi-13 at 1-2pm ? I like to have a buffet with corn-flakes, cheese, ham, joghurt, fruits, eggs, fresh (german) bread.

Mr. Toom will drive me to Pattaya. Anybody out there the same time can join. Also, if you want to join me for a beer in Pat mail me. I will stay there until 17.5.
