I've read about the Thai Airways Limo Service, 1500 Baht from BKK Airport to Pattaya with new Mercedes cars. Anybody used this before ? Do i need a reservation or can i just walk to the counter and order the car ? I know, for the same price i get a taxi or i can use the bus even cheaper, but having a hassle free service is more important to me.

No, you have to pay around 1000 Baht, and everything very expensive (internet, minibar...)

Just got email from Lidobeach. They dont have inroom safes, so i canceled the reservation.

I read some reviews about it and it seems they dont have in-room safes. If this is the case i will cancel and check for something else.

I have got a reply now. Jacuzzi room is not free anymore, the lido suite with 200qm seems a bit big for 1 person but i like the seaview terrace. Its easy as a man-in-the-middle to use wrong ssl or ssh keys when the user connetcs to his bank. After that, the man-in-the-middle can read everything unencrypted. Using Lan or Wireless Lan on any place also has serious security risks coz you never know if there is a man-in-the-middle attack. The wireless Traffic can be secured, but then, from the Access Point to WAN you never know if the Owner of the Bar/Club/Hotel or whatever simple protocols everything thats going out. So i would advice to use Lan/Wlan only with companys that be trustworthy and also use banking or other security things only if you really need it. If you are back home first thing is changing Passwords.

You wrote its a drawback that there is no elevator, so i want to know in what floor number the room is. If the hotel have 10 floors then it might be worse. If its only 3 i cant see a problem. So, how many floors does the hotel have ? Anyway, I send them the registration form 2 times but did not get a response. Seems like they are not interessted in Customers.

I am still looking for a Hotel for my trip in may, found this one: http://www.swissfood.net/Hotel.htm Looks interessting, especially the suite Lido with seaview terrace. Location is near walking street. Anybody out there knowing this ? The search funciton showed some people recommended it but i could not find a report. Thanks

Newbies mostly spent too much money becouse 'its so damn cheap'. And thats the big problem: Dont compare pattaya/thailand with your home town. If you pay 200$ for 30 minutes in your hometown then you might think that 100$ for 1 hour is a bargain. Dont make this fault. Check the prices carefully first so you know how much you have to give a girl. Food/Drinks are cheap, rent a appartment and you dont need more then 100$ a day including girls. Without girls only 10% of it

No, im not . In the middle i mean not to far from walking street and not to far from central. I was in north pat. last year and it was sh*t. So i prefer stay near ws or central. I like the better hotels, dont care if a room is 100$, but no joiner fees please. Is there any other hotel have rooms like penthouse ? Maybe i book a room in penthouse for 2 days and leave if its crap. Only thing i dont like there is that safe deposit box is not inroom.
