http://www.thai-language.com/ click on the above link and explore. its pretty good and alot of phrases you can play and listen to and practice so as to get the tone right do as i do and write them down as they are pronounced in your own language and take them with you. thais are very impressed at the fact that you are taking time to try and learn their language and will show you alot more respect im 43 now and about to take my second trip to pattaya but i intend to retire here in 8 yrs and find the above site invalable hope others do too

thanks neil. i have seen the old pier and it dont look very safe to me just a load of rusty girders bolted together like a pier that has been stripped during a storm or something. i ve got just under 2 weeks before i go and im sure someone on here will enlighten me a little before then.

i will be in the los for 3 weeks at begining of april. i would like to do a bit of fishing from the pier. now i know the one near walking st is a wreck but anyone know about the other one ? first of all is it allowed and if so what might i catch. im not a serious fisher but do like to do a bit whilst on holiday. also what is the best bait to use ? any advice would be very much appriciated l

hi. just thought i'd let you know what i did. purchased a return flight from coop travel for a flight from manchester to bkk via dubai for £600 which included holiday insurance. then arranged my own transfer to pattaya with lostinspace from this board for approx £50 again return journey. then found my own accomadation on line for 3 weeks for approx £44 per week. so all together i sorted myself a 3 week holiday in pattaya for approx £780.00 which is less than a package holiday i booked last year for 11 days. phil
