Just wondering if anyone around soi 6 has noticed this new hotel going up and how close are they to being finished. Hoping to stay there in Nov., if it's open by then. Thanks, SB

This is more information about Lord Nelson and how to make a reservation, it's owned by Bert of the Queen Victoria Inn {next door}. I'll be there in about 20 days and will ask Bert how the plans are going.

lord nelson opened 1st september. rooms not yet open but can be booked via queen vic through Bert. we stay at the queen vic every time we come out to Pattaya, rooms there are great cost around 600 to 800 baht per night

Stayed for 50 days at the Q.V., July/August as i do every year.

On talking to Bert he said L.N. was hoping to open its bar by the end of Aug. Bert said he had nothing to do with the L.N. that it was run by three guys one of them being the owner of the Q.V. (can't remember his name) but a very nice guy. There will be about 10 rooms, and they are hoping to open these by December.

The rooms can be booked through the Q.V. until the L.N. is completed.

The L.N. is not next door to the Q.V. but two doors down from the King Kong bar and on the same side.

Rate for staying in the Q.V. this year was 28200B. Next year i'm staying there for six months from end October and have booked with Bert and got a price of 13500B per month. I was going to stay in a flat but at these rates and everything provided, daily maid service, sheets and towels, T.V, D.V.D., fridge, bottled water, A.Con., fan and a safe deposit box there was no contest.

I have reservations for the first of Nov. at the Lord Nelson, so I'm hoping they are finished before Dec. If not, will probably stay at the QV. SB

Sorry about the way i worded my post, I should have said that the whole hotel should be completed by Dec. . My apologies, the main building work was completed last month and the ground floor opened, that's the bar, so I think the three bedroom floors should be opened floor by floor.

By the way i noticed there was a hell of a lot more bars on Soi 6.. Also at the back of the Q.V. Soi 6/1 the places opposite have all been flattened, I don't know what's going to be built there.

On the other side Soi 6 behind the British Bulldog, has all been built up. They have a bank, ATM, no more crossing 2nd street, plenty of shops, Mcdonald's a open air bar with stage and band and a building with cafe and a kick boxing and US wrestling show, lasts about one and a nalf hours the TG liked it. The complex is called The Market.
