Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Will be going to Thailand shortly, and would like to take my laptop to use, however as I am the furthest thing from a computer buff, wonder if anyone can help me. As I would probably need to access the net frequently, and possibly for longish time, would I be better off with a Thai pay as you go phone card and a Thai ISP. Any advice (apart from leaving the laptop at home - only wish that I could!) would be appreciated.

it would be best to make use of one of the following:

regular dial up prepaid account, can be bought at all computer shops and 7elevens for use in your hotel room

a hotel that has in room internet access even though there is no big choice in pattaya

use the laptop at any internet shop that does allow you to plug it in (explorer on beach road is one example but there are many more

using the laptop with a mobile phone can be expensive if you use it long hours but if you want to do that anyway, get a one2call (or any other prepaid card) for your phone and use the gprs service (again, that can prove rather expensive if you are not a contract customer).

also use the search function of the board as this questions have been discussed more then just a few times

cheers

cyber
