So.....what's the problem with Holiday Mansion? I have stayed there twice and had no problems.

I've been by the British Embassy and I stayed at the Nana Hotel. It was a short walk from there and no cab was needed. This website has a map and the daily hours of operation. Come out of the Nana Hotel and go left, then hang a right on Wireless Road. It took me about 15 mins to get to the US Embassy and the taxi will want 200 to 300 Baht, but it's not that long of a walk. If you need translation done, there are many places around the Embassy to get it done.
