Hey all, thinking of making a 2 or 3 day jaunt to Koh Samet. Has anyone been there? After 10 days in Pattaya i figure a couple days there will do the body good. Does anyone want to share any stories?

It is a great place to get away from the bright lights of pattaya for a few days.

But if your ganna go take a BG with you & dont stay more than 3 nights,can get a bit boring.

definately a "BYO" experience.

 

beaches are good, atmosphere very laid back.

 

I would recommend the example of a fat German who was there when I was.

Planning to go in August, I understand it's low season. Is it still advisable to book accomodation in advance or will I get it cheaper if I just turn up?

Have you considered Koh Samui ,

easy to get to from Pattaya ,

has a slower pace ,but you still have night life ,
