I've had a change in plans and will be leaving from Westin on Sukhumvit and I can leave anytime on the 19 or 20th. Anyone want to share Alex taxi?

If you don't get any takers why not take the bus. If your close to a sky train station hop on and get off at the Ekamai station for about 30 baht. The A/C buses leave every half hour and cost about 95 baht. When you get to Pattaya cross North Pattaya Rd and get the baht bus that has the yellow marking and it will take you to the Skytop for 5 baht. Total cost 130 baht or a savings of 1500 baht, enough to cover a L/T and barfine for Mok.

The bus works well but as an old git with an enlarged prostate, I like the ability to stop along the way to take a piss. Plus I smoke and enjoy a few beers on the way down.

 

PS: For the ladyboy aficionado's on this forum. Not that kind of smoke.

Forget the bus - I did that on my first trip to Pattaya and it was excruciatingly uncomfortable.

 

BigD, I have an existing thread looking for a taxi share on the 19th - surprised you didn't see it, or maybe you weren't interested.

 

You're doing the same thing I am - staying in BKK an extra night to catch the BTF round table - look forward to meeting you there.

 

I am working on another deal recommended by other friends of mine - female driver they swear by - we'll see how it works out; will keep you informed, but I won't have any more details until the 17th.
