I am coming to pattaya in october for 21 days after an absence of 10 years.I would like any recommendations firstly hotels etc price range 600/800 bht per night handy to walking st.Next anybody know of best deals for flights from N.zealand-bangkok.Finally price of eyeglasses in pattaya so I might appreciate the many TGs etc and not wake up in the morning feeling less than happy at my conquest.Until 18 months ago I was involved in the Angeles City bar scene for a period of 12years.

there is a street in bangkok where there must be 100 eyeglass shops. I found the best deals to be on Japenese frames. You should be able to get good frames and single prescription lenses for around 2500-3000 baht. bifocals will cost more.

I used Eye Glass Express in the Big C shopping center and am quite happy with my bifocals - cost 6000 baht but I chose expensive frames. I understand there is also a good place for glasses on the beach road side of Big Mikes Shopping Center.

for glasses, I bought a set of glasses at the market buhkao on tue or fri. I then took them to a shop next to top charoen on soi buhkao. Total cost 500baht for a styling pair of prescription glasses.

 

To do this, you need to choose your glasses well!

I'll bet you are looking forward to that trip,lucky man.

I've been Pattaya twice in the last three years & have found April, May the best time for fares.I intend to go again this April,May.

As for October fares,I think quite pricey,but hell once you're there who cares you can spend what you saved in one nite on lady drinks at FLB,cheers Buddy.
