This was for me the nicest BKK hotel I have stayed in. I booked it on the net and the cost for a three night stay was just under 9000, not including mini bar, laundry, and breakfast buffet which was extra of course.

All the rooms in this hotel are suites complete with 42 inch plasma television, CD/DVD combo, nice woodwork, huge bed with lots of pillows (upon which you can prop your tilac's arse whilst you have your way with the wench), well appointed bath, in-room safe, and even has his and her robes for lounging about in the suite-a nice touch.

My room was on the "M" level which I am told is a newer area of the hotel, and is the same floor as the pool and gymnasium area as well. I did not venture into the gym,(opting, of course, to take my exercise in the room) but from the looks of the equipment it would certainly suffice for those who opt to punish their bodies whilst on their holiday. It's your trip, man.

The pool was clean and well maintained but the two portly farang ladies that always seemed to be lounging about when I wanted to use the pool, certainly made the experience less for me than it could have been. There is just something about having to look at jiggling Caucasion cellulite that made my pool visits short in duration. Such is life.

I found the staff to be very accomodating and each time I had to have someone come to the room to help me navigate through the remote controls, not one stopped to curse me for being totally electronically inept. Soi 7 would not have been so benevolent.

One drawback is that this hotel is set about 500 meters north of Sukhumvit, so if you have a lot of things to lug to and from, motobike or taxi will be in order.

This was pricey(at least for me) but it was also a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again. I took a total of 4 tg to the room, so the place is very guest friendly and not an eye was raised for those of you who dread the "walk of shame." I prefer to call it the "walk of pride," as I usually am beaming just thankful that a fat guy like me can get a lovely lady even if I have to pay for it. :nod

All in all a great stay-highly recommend it for a splurge. Rgds, Jimmy

I stayed there for 2 weeks in the summer of 2003, and have to agree it is great, but nowadays just a little (?) too pricey for me.

I stay at the Swiss Grottino now; no pool, no chamber of martyrs, smaller room, smaller (regular) TV, but all in all great for (still high) 1700 Bt. I posted a review in the Hotel reviews Section with Details.
