Very impressive! Just a top notch way to show respects for Om & the impact she made. The bus, closing the bar for the night, ensuring all the staff could go.....just top notch.

My sentiments exactly

RIP OM :crying

I am very impressed with the sincerity and helpfulness of the members here, and the donations that came forward. My hats off to all of you. When I read it, it was posted to stop donations, but if more is needed, please say so.

Well done guys a fitting tribute, this whole horrible event was a couple of days after I got home from another great trip, the thought of sitting next to Om whilst she added up my tab a few days before brought home a new version of the blues to me

I didn't send a donation via paypal, but on my next trip I'd like to send something to the family so I hope you can keep channels open

The sad familiar faces on the photos summed up the devastating loss

I didn't know Om or the folks at FLB...... only discovered this site after my return to the UK.

I think that a lot of joshing and bs flow across these boards... and used used to think the boards were populated by hardened mongers, with hearts of stone.... obviously not..... am delighted that fellow boardees in Pattaya were so very generous.... $2.5k will go a long way to help her parents...

I am very sorry to hear of Om passing away, I was in the FLB on the evening and everything seemed very quiet. Now I understand why, she was a delightful good natured girl who always smiled even at the worst of times. My deapest sympathy goes out to her family. Did she have a boyfriend ? if so I am sure he has lost a beauty. Pete, Ben and Martin ought to be very proud of themselves, Well done guys.

This is so very sad. I met the girl only a few times, but she was very pleasant, cheerful and a real asset to the FLB.

If I had known about this, I would have made a contribution to the fund as I was in SEA when it happened and at the time of the funeral.

Pete - is the fund still open and how can a remote donation be made at this late stage ?
