Is this a good place to stay? Looking for nice room, quiet, guest friendly, pool, in room safe.

Guys, I agree with Hub's report in general, but as of March, there was major construction going on right next to the hotel (see recent photo in my trip report in member's area).

 

BLOODY LOUD (and I sleep like a bear) !!!!!

 

If you choose to stay here, ask for a room on the 2nd Road side.

 

Just for the record, IMHO:

 

Good points:

 

Spacious, well appointed suites.

Standard rooms are adequate enough for the party animal

Relatively new building

Good food.

Solid security

 

Bad points:

 

Current nearby construction

Bath leaks all over the floor (TIT)

Loud air con (TIT)

Unreliable reception (Beware of late night arrivals. "Sorry sir, no have room or reservation.")

Can't make direct calls from room

AND

Bell boy places golf clubs upside down!!!

 

Apart from that, it's alright.

Hi, many thanks for the update. I need quiet and am a light sleeper so construction noise is a big no for me.

When are you planning to be there? The construction next door is almost finished.

I was there last week (early May) and did not hear any contruction noises. I asked for a quiet room when booking. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip if they keep the current rate of 1050b.

 

You might also want to try the other Bella Villa on Third Rd (100m from North Pattaya Rd junction) and do a review, it seems a real bargain at 700b.

Depends how long I stay in BKK but around the weekend.
