I'm just in the process of booking up my next trip. Think I'm gonna stay at one of the Flippers.

Two questions for you guys who have stayed there before..

1. Is one better than the other??

2. Is it worth paying the extra for a suite. What do you get extra for your money. There is no pictures on the website.

Your help would be appreciated guys..

Cheers :beer

You mean a nice quiet breakfast, relaxing by the pool duing the day, maybe a short stroll along the beach in the afternoon, and one or two soda waters in the evening, followed by a good book and a nice early night!!!! :P

Yeah right! you know what i mean, soi 7 i think the lobby area is not as personal as soi 8..

I'm not quite sure what to do. I'm staying for a month, and I would be happy to stay at RG again, but I've got two of my mates joining me for a week, and they want to stay right in the thick of the action, so it's whether I can be arsed moving hotel during the trip. I am there for a week, then they arrive for a week, then I have 2 more weeks... So bit of a dilema really... B)

I just got this from Flipper Lodge beginning of the week.

The special offer for promotion as :

Sounds like a good price if you want to be right in the action and will be there a while.

I found an apartment elsewhere, but it would be a consideration if you were still in the market.

Sa-teef,

I haven't booked anything yet, not going till November!! But trying to plan ahead, cos I know it starts to get really busy that time of year. Do you have some details of this apartment?? How many bedrooms does it have?? Location?? Price?? Have you stayed there before??

Any help would be appreciated..

I'm in the same boat martini, lodge or house? Seems the house is even closer to the action and less personal at reception which gets my nod of approval. keen to find out more about the suite though, look forward to hearing big phils review!

Would have thought you could afford the Royal Cliff Banus boy not some 2nd rate mongers hotel.

Well if you were as bright as you sound you would have noticed I have actually stayed at Royal Cliff, as well as hard Rock on many occassions, however fancy something in the thick of the action next time.

But then again, it's probably to much to expect you to be able to reed and rite... :o

I stayed in the suite at the Flipper Lodge. Of course the advantage is the sitting room, but it is not near as nice as the RG. For a long trip you will appreciate a sitting area. I appreciate a sitting area even on short trips so I like suites.

The suite is actually one big room with a wall unit dividing the bedroom area from the living room area. What I didn't like about the suite: tiny ass fridge, kinda dark decor, no kitchenette, shabby furniture and you have to go up two flights of stairs that are separated down the hallway from one another and no balcony was a big let down. What I did like about the suite: had a tub if you want a bath, they have extra "pool towels" in the room, two big windows.

If you are a butterfly and spend a lot of time at the pool then having a sitting area in the room isn't so important because they a nice pool area on the roof. The pool is nice and gets lots of sun, it has a great view of the bay, large padded lounge chairs (the pads are in the room opposite from the bar) and a little bar with food service available.

Any idea if you can bring back more than 2 girls at a time? The Flipper has always looked like a nice hotel and I enjoy staying in suites as they are a nice place to party with 3 or more ladies. Also, besides the Penthouse, does anyone know of other hotels that don't limit the number of guests you can bring back?

Thanks
