after many years visiting thailand I found i didnt have the discipline to learn on my own. I bought the books and the CD but usually gave up or 'couldnt find the time". last visit I enrolled in a language school and found it was just what I needed. I HAD to go (I had paid for 4 weeks & I am cheap) for an hour every day. I HAD TO do my homework, or lose face with my beautiful teacher, and surprise, surprise, I did learn. Not a huge amount but at my age it was good progress. will go back for book 2 of the program next month.
