I actually found them nearly as tough as Heathrow.

 

Surprised me a bit. Might depend what passport you're travelling on.

I never had any problems. I brought back 3000 cigs and about 50 football jerseys on my last two visits.

Hi hillbilly,Maybe not an option for you, but when i worked in n.ireland i flew out from belfast to heathrow and on to bangkok.About 3 hrs in a car to dublin from belfast.

on return there was not one person at customs in belfast everyone just walked through

Maybe they dont have many international flights if any so the security is somewhat lower than the bigger airports,i could not believe it i thought security would have been tight with the squabling that goes on over there.

The only problem was that my bag did not make the last leg as we had a delay in bkk, I had 50 football tops in my bag but i had a padlock on the bag and receieved my bag the next day which was delivered to the house.I was half expecting just a letter explaining how my goods have been confiscated,if it had no padlock on it they might of had a peak as the bag would of been labelled thailand,i was not bothered about losing the tops and about 100 pound but the potential loss of revenue from selling them.

I have found it harder to sell shirts and make GOOD money from when i first started bringing them back unless utd or liverpool are bringing a new shirt out,which you can buy in los several months before they are released in the uk and sell them for 30 even 35 all day.

This was a few years ago though so things might be different now, maybe some n.ireland members will post what it is like now.Good luck with your smuggling.
