Recommended Posts

Hi........

I'll be in Pattaya in Oct. :D and I like to spend 3-4 days in Phuket ,and off to the BKK before fliying to Lon.

What is the best way to get a flight i.e book online in advance from U.K or book when in Pattaya, what is the best/cheapest way to do it

Thanx.......

Book in advance for the cheapest prices if you know the dates you want to fly, I went with Air Asia in May and got a return fair for under 1400thb. If I had picked up a ticket from a agent in BKK it would have been about 1500thb one way.

Check out Bangkok Airways, you need to book Pattaya-Phuket then Phuket-Bangkok. These I believe are the only scheduled airline to fly out of Pattaya(utapao)

Hi,

Good advice already about booking on-line ...

I did exactly the same in July - Utapao - Phuket - Bkk (- London). I just popped into the travel agent at the entrance to the Flipper (not sure if its the Flipper Lodge) Hotel on Soi 8, gave dates and times of connections etc and they had me processed and booked with electronic ticket receipt and schedule in hand, for around 5000 baht, within 10 minutes.

So, if you're a lazy bastard like myself, who likes other people to sort out the arrangements, then pop into a local travel agent when in Pattaya.

Cheers,

C

If you are booking whilst in town it is a safer bet just to nip into the Bangkok Airways Office on 2nd Road behind the Montien/Hard Rock Hotels.

They often have special deals that can only be booked in Thailand.

you have 2 good choices

you can get cheapest airfare with airasia www.airasia.com (book there)

you willhave to fly out of bkk

you can fly out of pattaya airport 25minute drive from pattaya 500bhat taxi ride. Bangkok airways flys out of there for slightly more of a cost than airasia. check www.bangkokair.com

I flew with bangkok airways out of pattaya airport to ko samui and i booked it online in pattaya 2 days before i flew out. pattaya airport is something to see , its a military base and its very dead no chaos at all , quietest airport ive ever been to, very peaceful . the cool thing is if you return back to the pattaya airport you can get the group bus to pattaya city for for about 100 baht look at the ticket booth on the left side when you are exiting after you pick up your luggage.
