Christman Surcharges

Do most of the hotels add a Christmas surcharge?

 

I plan to retire to Pattaya and need a hotel for one or two months starting in mid-November while I search for a permanent residence.

 

Any suggestions on permanent accomodations??? I am interested in a cental location, swimming pool (???), on the bus line, and hopefully no mark-up on electricity.

From 2nd Road walking toward Beach Road on Soi 1 about two thirds of the way down on the right is a small three or four story apartment building. Cheap with excellent Thai couple who manage the place. Studio goes for around 6-7K per month.

almost all of the mainstream hotels charge extra for christmas and new years. In koh samui some of the hotels charge 3 times their normal rate. BigD is the source for the cheap places to stay.
