Just back from LOS which included 4 days in Chiang Mai. Many thanks to all you fine gentlemen who recommended Pornping Towers. I thought the hotel was excellent value at 1150 baht with buffet breakfast for 2. The room was spacious and comfortable.Night market was just a stroll away. No inroom safe but safety deposit box available in lobby 24/7.

 

As regard watching the Champions League games I noticed an English Pub near the night market which indicated viewing was by invitation only. There is an Irish Pub in the night market which made no reference to the games. I was aware by then that I could watch football on Thai Channel 3 in the room. 1luv
