Monthly accessible accomodations

Recommended Posts

First of all, curse all you guys with cameras :D

:D

Secondly, I was originally thinking of coming over for 3 weeks, but now I'm thinking maybe 6-8 weeks. Major issue of course will be budget.

Are then any recomendations for wheelchair accessible monthly accomodations?

To be accessible;

- no stairs to enter ground floor (luggage ramp ok as long as not too steep - 1ft rise in 7 feet)

- no steps to get to rooms (or lift to rooms above ground floor)

- some rooms with walk-in showers (Thai bathrooms ok as well)

Other then that I'm looking for

- North Pattaya prefered around Soi 2 - Soi 8 and towards Walking street

- decent and reasonable clean building

- air conditioning and refrigerator

- in-room safe

- regular cleaning (daily prefered, but twice a week ok)

- Laundry services

- no joiner fees

Thanks

P.S. I know some of the services will be extra charge, but I'd like to have them available

Hi,

You seem to know Pattaya, have you thought of the Lek Hotel on 2nd Road, nr Mike Shopping Mall.

I stayed there a couple of weeks ago, you would have no trouble with the access from the street, lifts to all floors, restaurant, bar and swiming pool all on ground floor, A/c, in room safe, fridge, rooms cleaned every day, baht buses pass right outside, don't know about your bathroom/toilet query though. Pricewise, I paid 1000 baht per night without B/fast, and no guest fees, hope this might help, if this is within your budget.

Hi The Lek is a great hotel but it has 1 small step on the front entrance this will be no problem as there is a doorman on the door 24/7 who will be glad to help you over this small hurdle,it has 2 wings old and new , the old wing is great value (Iwas there 2 months this year at 650baht a night low season) and girl friendly. Depending on the time you are going it will cost you 7/800baht per night with the new wing between 1000/1200baht and IMHO not really worth the extra. The location of the Lek is great 2/250 yd to the beach and a 6/7 min roll to walking st ,but the bars on the doorstep aren't bad and you are in the middle of the action without being in the middle of the noise (a higher floored room facing 2nd rd is quietest) on soi 13 is the Sportsman's restaurant and 2/3 time a week there is a guy in a wheel chair( a pattaya resident) who goes in there with his honey he (if any body knows him get in touch ) would be a great source of information to you if you are in the area. The one drawback at the Lek may be the size of the bathroom doorways and the fact that the bathroom has a small step down but if any boardies are going to the Lek for the buffet and own a tape measure you could be of some help here and as the rooms I used were both baths do they have shower rooms as well, as for laundry there is a laundry service but its price +and as there are 2 laundries within 40 yd that is not a problem. The pool may be a problem as it is accessed by a ladder and is not a walk in and out but I don't know of any other kind in pattaya I know this is a bit of a ramble but thats just the way things occurred to me If you ask i will answer sinbinjack
