Bangkokair-BKK to Seim Reap

After three weeks of checking and e-mailing sites I have booked a return trip BKK to Siem Reap with Bangkokair in early January to allow me to finally visit Angkor Wat. I got THB 10,830 round trip including all taxes, insurance surcharge and fuel surcharge. THis is a saving of more than $260.00 Canadian as quoted by a couple of local travel agencies. I also tried a couple of travel agencies in BKK bu they were more interested in just selling me a 3 day package to tour the temples.

This did not interest me as I wanted to spend considerable free time exploring sanook on Seim Reap.

 

Thus, my question to boardmembers who have been there. What are the "don't miss" bars, massage parlours, entertainment venues that may be hit a) during the day and during the evening?

 

I have done a search on Tales of Asia and have their list places to hit but their sites are mostly advertising and I am interested in referrals from those that have had the experience.

 

I will be in Pattaya for 5 weeks after Cambodia so will gladly share the "fun stories" and buy the beer for anyone providing advice.

 

Looking forward to responses and hope that the next 10 1/2 weeks pass quickly.
