Hi All, another newbie here.

I have been to Pattaya once before in December 2004 and I know that December and Jan are the best times weatherwise to go, but I have some free time coming up very shortly (early October) and would like to know if the weather is likely to be any good or is it constant rain and is the night life still active this early.

One other question, if the above is ok, any clues on cheap flights London - BKK, best I can see at the mo is about £450 with Qatar but thought I might be able to get something dirt cheap last minute???

Appreciate any feedback

Thanks

I think £450 for a flight in october is about right( i wouldnt leave it any longer before booking though as i think prices will only go up) As for the weather im not too sure as ive not been at that time off year(have been a few times in december and its been lovely weather-not far off october)

You ask "is the nightlife still active this early"

Pattaya is active all year long mate, no matter when you go. If you go during low season you pretty much have full control of the city(if you know what i mean)

Anyway........ enjoy your visit and if you dont....... there must be something wrong with you.

10 more weeks til christmas..... i mean wheels up(same thing really)

There's been a fair bit of rain over the last few days. I was at the Ex Pat's Club this morning and when I came out it was apparent that there had been a "little" shower whilst I was there.

Plan - Walk down to Central Road and get a baht bus up to Carrefour

Reality - Walked all the way. Traffic was at a complete standstill and Central Road was under water, only a few inches or so in the main, but I was still quicker walking. :chogdee2. Almost made it with feet still reasonably dry, but just before 3rd Road I found a spot where the shallowest spot was a bit over 4 inches. :banana

By the time I came out, much of the water had drained away and I was able to walk down to Soi Buckaow without getting any wetter. :P Then jumped onto a baht bus, the driver of which very kindly took me all the way back to Jomtien without being asked. :3some
