Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

It seems like eternity since I have been in Pattaya (Last December), and I finally am able to return November 14 for 2 weeks or so.

I tried to make a reservation at the Sawadee Sea View, which sent me an email advising of availability, but requiring payment in advance for 14 days. This does not seem right, as I want to be able to move Hotels after a day or two if I am not happy with it. My requirements are:

Price: less than 1000 Baut/ Night.

Internet: Have in room broadband internet connection (Prefer Wired to Wireless) included in the room rate.

Guest Friendly of course.

Location: between Soi 6 and walking street and between Beach road and 2nd street so I do not have to crawl home too far.

Condition: Reasonably clean, not too noisy, as I usually BF a ST early in the evening, have dinner and finish by midnight, linens changed every day, with a restraunt (Breakfast included would be even better)

Payment: Payment in advance for the first day or two is O.K. but I resent having to pay in advance for 15 days, as I might want to move to a different Hotel.

As an additional incentive, I will buy the first person to advise me of a satisfactory hotel, I will buy them a beer on November 15. (I might buy everybody that responds a beer – I am a generous Cheap Charlie)

Thanx guys, and see you at the FLB for a beer on November 15.

I've stayed at the Eastiny Place, the Flipper House and the Bella Vista hotels located in the soi 7/8 area. I paid between 600-650 baht a night with a breakfast included at the Bella Vista. The other two I paid additional for the breakfast but they did have restaurants on site plus other nearby restaurants. I didn't notice any noise with the windows closed and the A/C on but my hearing isn't the greatest. Don't know about your internet requirement as I used the nearby internet shop located at the Sunshine hotel, they did have phones in the rooms.

I am not agreeing or Disagreeing with the Prepayment thing but I do understand there side of it as not getting a prepayment means a guy that reserves a room and does not show up screws up not only the Hotel owner but the guys looking for a room also.

I have prepaid many times and not had a problem you should not let that bother you now when the girl's start asking for Prepayment that's another story.....

As Pattaya is starting to get busy and you're arriving in about a week, it might be advisable to pre-pay for 2 or 3 days at the Sawasdee Sea View. That way, you'll have a hotel to stay at on arrival and if after a couple of days, you find something better, then you just up and go.

Correctomundo! :o

There's lots of reasons u might want a change of venue. As others have suggested, book it for a few nights and walk around. You probably will be able to extend your stay if u like it but chances are u will find something more to your liking.

Thanx valentinoxxx for the email address - This is the one that I used also.

Also thanx Nosrob for the website - I am going right now to check it out. The one thing that I saw was it did not list things as Internet Access, but I'll ask them in the chat section.

See you guys in 8 days...
