There's a race on at bang phra ,the other side to the zoo,on the 19th nov if anyone wants some fun,it's a hard course though.numchai and LA bike shops have entry forms,[in thai]

It's got A-B-C-grades up to over 50s,[thats me]as well as, kids and celebrity races

and a nice area next the lake ,and near the course is a very good playground . something pattaya has not got.

If anyone wants to go for a HARD training ride ,with the snakes, mud ,creeks,and bush and the sand and gravel,and the thais walking around with the shotguns shooting birds, they are welcome if you can go after 9am and back by 3pm,

for up to 2. 1/2 hrs.any weekday

but do'nt forget the water bottle, insur,mobile,and the cab fare home.

I would love to go to one of these sometime. I need to get a decent size bike for my 6'3" tall body. I don't want to pay exorbitant import prices though, but just a mtb that I can ride and use. Any recommendation on where I can get an oversized frame to fit me? The Thai sizes just won't do...

for anyone interested ,i did the ban phe course today [day out with the family]

its an unusual flat ,fast course with some bumpy stages.,its a 9k cousre ,A grade 4 times B,3 times C , one time,

there is also 3 days of triathlons duathlons ,and aquathons different distances ,

for those who know what THEY are,

starting fri 9th,10th,11th,contact no 02-5784515, 01-4843335.i presume thai. info at ban pe city hall on the beach front just up from the jettys to koh samet, and the races are along the beach front.

Try namchai bike shop on sukumvit naklua end, right hand side going to bkk,

or cash converters in c/four.and the pattaya mail, sales.
