Any recommendations on a nice hotel between Soi 6 and Walking St. Prefer a pool, in room safe, decent size. Thanks.

How Much You Wanna Pay ?

 

If the skys the limit then the Marriott or Montien or Hard Rock should all be suitable.

 

None of them come cheap !

I want to pay aroud 1200-1500 per night. I've stayed at Areca before...nice place, just want to try another area.

How do you get a rate of 850 Baht? I am coming in Febuary from the 11/02 to the 27/02 and was qouted 1000 for a City view room or 1,100 for a Sea view room.

 

 

Is there any diffrence with the room besides sea view or city view?

I like the Eastiny or Flipper on Soi 8. All those in high season are still only 850...

I have stayed at both and was satisfied by both. I got bigger rooms and paid more than thb850. The pool on the roof of the Flipper lodge is nice and has a view of the bay. Rooms not as well kept as Areca and do not include breakfast, not that Areca's breakfast is anything great (Nana Hotel has a much better breakfast).

 

The one tip i will give is that if you stay on Soi 8, do not barfine on Soi 8. Soi 7 is one street over and there are about 1000 bars between Soi 8 and Walking Street. If you like Soi 6 don't forget the BJ bars on Soi Post Office, Second Rd end, for a similar experience.

On the lower end guest houses with in room safe on soi 6, Queen Victoria Inn and around the corner is Sky-Top and room 101 is large with kitchenette.
