Hi all

I'm gonna travel to Thailand next March, and I've found tickets for the same dates, hour of arrival, and almost equal price offered by British Airways and Lufthansa.

Which one has the most comfortable tourist class?.

Thanks in advance.

BA is my airline of choice .....given a choice I choose not to fly with them .... yes they do have good seats in business class but the service sucks.....IMHO

My experience on long hual flights from the west coast of the U.S. to Europe and Great Britain would put my vote on Lufthansa. Neither carrier is necessarily my airline of first choice, but if having to choose between them, it would be LT.

I've flown both a few times and I would go with LT. As a gold card holder, I get free access to their club.

I've flown both there is little between them, if the price is right go BA if flying from LHR, otherwise look at the shuttle timings to see which suits best.

Sorry I see you are from Spain so obviously will have to fly to London or Frankfurt choose the one with the best timing. I don't know Frankfurt but at Heathrow you will arrive at Terminal 1 or 2 & have to change to Terminal 4 for the BKK flight. This takes a while.

Lufthansa would be my bet.

I flew with them a few times and they have good service,

""Deutsche Pünktlichkeit ""

Also there are 2 airports in Europe you HAVE to avoid as hubs and that,s London ""Heatrow"" and Paris''Charle de Gaulle, both are straight nightmares and often your luggage get lost or delayed.

Yes, I didn't even think to take it into consideration, but lv2play raises a very good point with regard to where you'll need to change planes. In over 800,000 air miles flown, I've been fortunate to only arrive without my luggage five or six times -- one of them, though, was when going through Heathrow, and another one was when going through Charles de Gaulle. I've been through Frankfurt several times without any luggage mishaps, and have always found the airport reasonably easy to navigate and make connections.

I would think you would have less air time going through Frankfurt, as well; so long as the savings weren't wiped out by layover time, that is.

Look forward to hearing what your decision ends up being.

Assuming that you are flying from Barcelona or Madrid I would opt for LH via Munich. Easier to transit than Frankfurt, newer planes on the MUC-BKK route and shorter overall travelling time.

I would avoid LHR like the plague unless you are a FF with Iberia/BA and are after the airmiles.

Thanks all for your answers. Since the popular vote seems to favor Lufthansa, I'll pick them. My main concern is reliability. The flight I'll pick has a 5 hour scale in Germany, so I guess I won't have to worry about delays. I could pick one that has a 2.5 hor scale, but I wanna play safe.

Now I only have to wait 73 to get there!.
