Ekami Bus Staion to Majestic Suites,Bangkok

Recommended Posts

I will be travellin from Pattaya into Ekami Bus Station, Bangkok at the end of May.

I have booked 3 nights in the Majestic Suites. Does anybody know how long would a taxi ride be and how much could I expect to pay from the Bus Station to the Hotel?

Take the skytrain, get on the front car. Exit @ Nana Station. If your bag is very large, flag a tuk tuk or taxi. Direct it to the Landmark Hotel. You can walk to Majestic Suites in 3 minutes. Mook

I agree about the skytrain because if it's traffic jam it may take over 1 hour with a taxi. It's more than 2 years since I went from Ekkamai to Soi 4 (just after Landmark) with a taxi, I think it took 30 minutes och the cost was around 60 baht, it was 2 pm and not really a traffic jam yet. With light traffic maybe 15 minutes and 50 baht but that's just a guess.

If there's traffic jam it's faster to walk, with luggage skytrain is the best alternative but often the train is crowded too. So if no luggage or just a small bag I usually take a motor bike taxi.

When you arrive at Ekami head out to the front of the Bus Station. The skytrain station is on your right. It will cost you 40bt to get to Nana Station and takes about 5 minutes. When you get to nana station, head down to the street on the opposite side of the station to which you arrive. This will put you on Sukhumvit. Walk about 150 meters along Sukhumvit in the direction from which the sky train came. You will walk past the Landmark Hotel and then just past the Subway store you will find the Majestic Suites. Make sure you don’t walk past it as it doesn’t look like the front of a hotel and it’s next door to the Majestic Tailors and just looks like another shop front. By the way, great choice of Hotel, have stayed their on many occasions and it’s first class, very girl friendly and quality rooms.

As long as it isn't "rush hour" then the Skytrain is your fastest and cheapest way of getting to your hotel. I rode the Skytrain at 0800 and it was as crowded as can be; 3 hours later it was 90% empty. If you have luggage it will be a drag to ride the Skytrain when it is crowded.

Thanks Guys......but I got it wrong, I'm actually in the Majestic Grande.

However I realise it is only just down the road a bit and should disembark from the Skytrain at the station after Nana.

Karunda....I will be in Pattaya from the 14th May. So if you fancy a pint send me a PM and we will make an arrangement to meet somewhere.

Majestic Grand soi 2 is about equal distance between Nana and Phleon Chit BTS stations but still a hell of a walk in the humidity with luggage. So you’ll end up booking into a very nice hotel covered in sweat and not looking your best. If I was you I’d take the cab option from Ekkami 10-20 min about 50thb, or from Pattaya all the way 1000thb :cry1 You'll be very pleased with the hotel nice place :finger If you do take the BTS you need to hit the street the SAME side as you arrived, not the opposite as bagman said
