Just curious if there are any good deals out there for visa runs from Pattaya to the new Cambodian border crossing. I currently pay 1,700 to go by mini bus that is usually full. I am not trying to be too cheap but I still like to save a little cash here and there.

I use "Cambodia Inter" on Soi Bukaow, I don't know if he gives everyone that price, since I have been using him for a long time.

Never had to do a visa run as such.

Stayed last time for 3 months though, and got a 2 month visa from Thai Consulate at Hull, England.

Then went to Snooky in Cambodia, (got a Cambodia visa for 1100 baht, the Official price is $20, but they will not accept $$s), for a few days, and got the Thai 30 day entry stamp, which did me for the rest of my stay.

The 2 month Visa cost £25,(1750 baht) plus recorded delivery there and back, of £8,(560 baht), total £33, (2310 baht) so although inconvenient, a border run would have worked out cheaper for me.

Just what is included on a visa run, and what extras do you have to factor onto the price?

Yeah I have used cambodia Inter , works Ok, walk in Nisan says '1900bht' you say 'whoa I didn't pay that last time' he says 'how much you pay?' You could say '1600', you may get it. I have paid 1,600, but many people on the same bus pay a lot more could have booked at hotel etc. I do pay 1,700 currently however.

I think 1,700 no too bad with the price of gas rocketing.

Last time I went the bus went down towards Trat instead of Poipet made a change and crossing much easier and quicker with cheap fags and kamagra etc and singha 20 bht!!.

I would definitely not try to save a few bob on the price of visa if it allows you to avoid visa runs , they are a pain in the butt. :llaugh

If you are doing a run....make sure you are going to PRUM, it is 100 klms closer than TRAT (215 klms in total). Taking into consideration that the visa fees are 1300 (including the Cambodia...im not staying here a day so pay us 300 baht fine) I think you have a good deal at 1700.

I drive to PRUM myself and it costs me over 1000 baht in gas alone
