Anyone had experiance of changing return flight date. would it be better before

going or after.

I brought forward my return date last month by a couple of days when I was in Pattaya,phoned ticket office at airport,knew it would cost £50.

When I got to airport I told them of flight change on check in and she held my seat as had to go upstairs to ticket office,pay the charge in baht as won't accept sterling,but will take credit card.They give you receipt which you take back to person you checked in with and they then give you boarding cards,all pretty painless and a useful concession if you need to change your return flight-I flew back to Manchester.

i'd suggest changing your tickets after your outbound travel. depending on the type of ticket you have, if you change your tickets before your outbound flight, there will be a higher charge sometimes even losing the whole ticket as it will count as a cancellation. the normal charge to change return date is £50 after outbound travel. good airline btw

No charge on Etihad as have just changed mine direct with airline.

 

It was a standard 3 month ticket.
