I am now staying at the Whitehouse Condotel

Just a heads up for the members..

I had the good fortune of finding two friends last night.. but....This hotel charges a jointer fee of 500 thb for a 2nd guest.

To me.. this is NOT a guest friendly hotel. I was told it used to be 800 thb guest fee but the price was reduced. I do not know who the owners are.. but they need to get a clue. The hotel is far from full (yes I know it is the low season).. but perhaps this is one of the reasons.

The hotel itself is good... but for the prince and the guest policy... I will never stay there again.

I do not understand how people can recommend hotels that charge guest fees.

So, my advice is to cross this hotel off your list of places to check out.

I've stayed there before and really liked it, but didn't realize they charge extra for bringing 2 girls to the room. I can barely handle 1 so not a problem for me. I think they do that to limit the partying atmosphere. Most of the condo owners are banking people and do not want the hotel part to get loud.

Therefore it is 1 guest friendly, not 2 guests friendly.

Some of the not guestfriendly hotels in BKK are opposite, you must give the name of the girl you'll stay with already at reservation and they check her ID at arrival. But you can bring an extra girl without problem.

Maybe we need to add a column on the hotel review section..

Not guest friendly

One Guest friendly

2 or more guest friendly.

I usually only want one lady.. but things do happen in Pattaya. It is a real pain to dish out another 500 thb.... Especially since this policy is not posted.

They accept your guest but are not really guest friendly in my opinion. I also never did understand the idea of checking in as a double for when you bring someone back.

I did the mistake of staying at that hotel once and can only say: never again! Building looks nice at a glance but it had a lot of errors and mishaps. My toilet were flooding the floor and despite first asking kindly and later demanding it to be fixed - it wasn´t taken care of, and you could not enter the bathroom without a dingy! No excuses, no offers of a price reduction.

The owner is some english guy who really made me understand why Fawlty Towers was written - this fool was really Basil Fawlty! Did not have a clue of how to run a hotel and at departure demanded credit card charge of 4% DESPITE the leaking bathroom, shitattitude when bringing ONE gf to room and very noisy outside due to construction. Restaurant was a joke and the staff could not even serve a cup of coffee properly. I refused to pay the creditcard charge and he got very ugly shouting behind my back when leaving the dump. A real clown!

And of course it has no pool which is a HUGE setback.

Take my advice (30 years of travelling to LOS) there are MANY better places to stay without hassle and bring as many friends as you like! Choose and sponsor them instead! This place can perhaps be good when it is one day sold to a pro hotelman who knows what he is doing and where the hotel is located: puntertown!
